I. Who am I?
My username is, obviously, Ninjadude501. I’m the former Associate Director of the Department of Homeland Security, and now I’m an Associate Secretary within the Department of Public Safety. I’m active on the website and Discord so I can hear what you, the people, want to be created as bills. In addition, I was recently elected to the House of Representatives here in Firestone– it was a wonderful two-day term.
II. What experience do I have?
You may think that seeing as I have little previous experience in a legislature position this section may not be impressive, however in my (completely not) humble opinion, that is quite the opposite. Throughout my time here in Firestone, I have drafted more than 10 bills and assisted in many more, which means that I have plenty of experience writing bills. In addition to that, in my mere two days in office, I wrote and submitted four bills, one of those being an impeachment of an inactive court justice which passed the House unanimously.
III. Why independent?
I firmly believe in freedom of opinion. If I ran with a party, I would worry that I would feel obligated to vote one way or another on some bills, and regardless of which way I would actually vote without the obligation, I dislike the feeling 100%.
IV. So what are your political opinions then?
Generally, I tend towards the opinion that Government should be there to provide a solid foundation, but not be overbearing. For example in bills to establish departments, I would absolutely establish their main purpose, but beyond that, I would prefer to leave it up to the department head to run that department the way that they feel is best. Situations can change on a dime, but the law can’t. I’d explain more, but I don’t want to bore you with an even larger block of text. Instead, if you have any other questions about my opinions, feel free to ask in the comments section! I’ll reply as soon as I can.
V. Conclusion
So, you’ve read my speech, and I thank you for that. Whether or not you support me is entirely your choice, though I do hope that you will at least consider what I have said. Have a good day, night, or whatever time it may be when you read this.
Thanks,
