Part 2 ___________________________________________________________________ The Podiums (E) The Podiums (and the steps in front of them) are the large steps at the back of the Red Keep. The Iron Throne sits at the top of the podiums, with the Small Council chambers, Royal Yard and Kingsguard chambers branching off in separate doors to the sides of the Iron Throne. (1) The Stairs on the podiums, no matter which level, are to be kept clear at ALL times. (a) Members of the Kingsguard, the Dragonguard, and anyone above Royal Family may stand on the steps at their discretion. (2) The ground floor is for anyone ranked Westerosi and above, and fits the criteria stated in D.1a (3) The first podium is for anyone ranked Lord/Lady or above who is allied to the Crown. (a) Lord/Lady+ may not have a guard with them on this podium. (b) Knights+ of the Crown and Hand house may stand on this podium to guard. (4) The second podium is for anyone ranked Lord Paramount or above. (a) Lord Paramount+ may have one Knight+ guard accompanying them on this podium. (b) Elite Guards of the Crown and Hand house may stand on this podium to guard. (c) Knights+ of the Crown House may stand on this podium to guard. Their duty is to protect the king and the royal family from harm at all times. (1) Members of the Kingsguard are one of the highest authorities in the Red Keep, second only to the King himself. The Masters of Law and War are also High authority positions within the keep. (a) Members of the staff team may overrule Kingsguard in certain situations. This is at the discretion of the staff team. (b) The Dragonguard are answerable to the Kingsguard if they are present, the Dragonguard are not above them. (2) Members of the Kingsguard represent and enforce the King’s Law. However, they are not the Law and they are not above it. Kingsguard are answerable to the Law should they break it. (3) Harassing a member of the Kingsguard while they are on duty is a crime and is killable. (a) Harassment qualifies as repeatedly approaching a member of the Kingsguard and insulting them. Talking behind their back or criticizing them is not harassment. A member of the Kingsguard has to be directly affected and approached for harassment to qualify. (4) Members of the Kingsguard are responsible for the enforcement of both the Red Keep Laws and the Podium Laws (Section D and Section E in their entirety) . (5) Dressing as or impersonating a member of the Kingsguard is illegal, and they are within their right to kill or jail someone breaking this law at their own discretion. (6) If someone is being a nuisance in the keep (e.g. trolling), the Kingsguard can remove said nuisance from the keep provided they have given warning to stop. (7) When no Kingsguard are present, the Dragonguard of House Blackfyre are responsible for and can enforce F.2a, F.3a, F.4a, F.5a and F.6a (8) Members of the Kingsguard are also responsible for Section G, and will work with The City Watch and have all rights and permissions that members of the City Watch hold. (See section H) ___________________________________________________________________ Area’s outside of the Red Keep (G) The area’s outside of the Keep are anything not inside the interior section after entering the main double doors. This is simply regarded as the city. (1) Any area outside of the keep is under the jurisdiction of the City Watch. Failure to obey them can result in death or jail time depending on the severity of the crime. (a) Members of the Kingsguard have the same rights and powers of regular Knights outside of the Keep, unless they are chasing a criminal who was inside the keep or they are protecting Royal Family+. (b) The Church and the Prison/City Watch Barracks qualify as “outside of the keep” thus they fall under City Watch jurisdiction. (2) To enter the City Watch Barracks, one must be a member of the City Watch or ranked Small Council or above. (3) Dueling is permitted outside of the keep provided both parties have consented beforehand. (a) Any duelists should keep their duel well away from the public, as they are liable to RK laws if any are caught in their fight. ___________________________________________________________________ The City Watch (H) The City Watch is a law-enforcement institution charged with policing King's Landing. They are informally known as "Gold Cloaks" due to the gold-colored cloaks their members wear as part of their uniform.
