►THE SENATE
-Senators hold no individual power, but as a whole, the senate is the governing body of The Old Republic
-Senators cannot give orders to military personnel unless it is to the Senate Guard or by a vote inside the Senate Chambers (either a Discord or Skype chat)
-For one to become a senator, they must complete the included application and send it to the Supreme Chancellor, either by Roblox personal message or by Discord or Skype direct message, this application MUST be in full sentences
-Upon receiving an application, the sitting Supreme Chancellor will submit the application to the senate to be voted on while retaining the name of the individual as to not create a bias vote
-The sitting Supreme Chancellor has the choice to embarro an application for a variety of reasons (unprefessionalism, bad grammar...)
-The Speaker of the Senate, also known as the Vice Chancellor is chosen and appointed by the Supreme Chancellor
-Senatorial votes are majority votes
-The Speaker of the Senate is an individual with great loyalty to the Republic. They are authorized to hold emergency sessions or to act as the Supreme Chancellor while the sitting Chancellor is unavailable
-The Supreme Chancellor and Speaker of the Senate may vote on any vote they wish except if the vote is to make a new appointment, in the senate or military, they may only vote to break a tie. As a result, Chancellors or Speakers cannot vote on new military officers or new senators, but the Chancellor has to power to veto a Senator application with reason (i.e bad grammar or obvious immaturity)
-The Senate votes on most changes in the military and the government. These changes could include what to spend funds on, making new products (uniforms or gamepasses), making new divisions, divisions appointments (CO, XO…)
-In the Senate, there is a senator that represents The Old Jedi Order, this senator is chosen by the Jedi High Council and may sit and vote as any other senator
-If the sitting Jedi Senator is inactive, the senate (or Chancellor) may dismiss them and give recommendations to the High Council for another one
-The maximum amount of Senators is locked at 10 Republic appointed Senators, The Chancellor, Speaker, and Jedi Senator are separate, making a total of 13 senators
-Upon the successful vote on a Senator application, the applicant will be ranked as a senator-in-training, this means they can observe votes and how a senator should act but cannot vote themselves until they prove themselves
-Once a senator-in-training proves themselves as a responsible and duty-full person, they will be made a junior senator, this process is done purely by the sitting Chancellor and the senate does not vote on this.
-Once a junior senator has proven themselves more responsible than other junior,s they will be made a normal senator by the sitting Chancellor
-Each type of senator (training, junior, normal) is given more and more trust with more secret votes in the senate
