TL;DR WARNING, there will be a small version of this thread at the bottom, but it is recommended you read the entire thing for specific content and detail.
ROBLOX CURRENTLY
Right now, as of the time this thread was typed, ROBLOX is only in English (USA), and celebrates USA holidays.
SECTION 1: TRANSLATIONS
Sub-section 1: ROBLOX translation method
ROBLOX can be translated in one of these three ways, staff translate, community translate with staff approval, or community translate without staff approval. The word "ROBLOX" isn't going to be translated, and it will show up as "ROBLOX" no matter what language.
Staff translation advantages and disadvantages:
Staff translate will come from people who know two or more languages fluently. They can make the translations more accurate. However, it might cost quite some money to get lots of language that is able to typed.
Community translation with staff approval:
This will allow volunteers to translate the site, but people cannot troll the translations because it requires staff approval. It won't cost as much money as staff translate, because the staff is only there to check the languages, not edit it. If the translations is found inaccurate, the translation will not be added until it is fixed. Not every word has to be the same, but it should be equivalent to what the words in the site are meant to say.
Community translate without staff approval:
Community translations will come from volunteers who speak a language that they want in ROBLOX, or they have a very accurate translation tool. The disadvantage they might troll in the translations. The advantage being it will be fast and not cost anything.
Sub-section 2: Site being translated
Upon signing up, there will be a language asking question, and that user will pick one. The language will show up as its language, for example "English (USA)" will show up as "English (USA)" and "Spanish" will show up as "Español." This also applies when a user wants to change a language when he/she decides to. After a language is chosen, the site will appear in that language. ROBUX, ROBLOX, and any word that does not mean anything in another language will show up as that in any language.
Sub-section 3: Games being translated
The developer can choose to translate a game. The user who plays the game will have their language decided on what language they signed up on. In the description, it will show what languages the game has, and they will show up as the language the user is observing the description at.
Game Title
Some game titles are able to be translated (example: “Prison Life” would be “Vida en la cárcel” in Spanish), but others (example MeepCity) can’t be translated because they don’t mean anything in a foreign language probably.
In-game Translations
As the game title is translated, the game itself can be translated. Take Prison Life again for an example. The word “guards” as a team in the leaderboard would be “Guardias” in Spanish. Each update the developer makes, he/she can translate the updated areas. If he/she does not choose to translate the new words, it will appear it what language the developer made the game in, which also applies if there are a few languages that weren’t added into the game.
Thumbnails and Images
Since some games have nice images, and they sometimes contain words, shouldn’t they be translated too? The developer should have the option to have a new image for each translation for free, but buy it one-time, and get to translate the words. This can’t be abused, because it will only show up the same amount of times just like if it were in one language, but more languages. Videos rarely ever have words in them, it’s more of a trailer for the game, so it won’t have a translation option.
Sponsorships
Games can be sponsored, but they should appear in different languages in one bid of sponsorship! Remember, just like in Thumbnails and Images,”This can’t be abused, because it will only show up the same amount of times just like if it were in one language, but more languages.”
Sub-section 3: User made ads
Much like the sponsorships, make ads have translations in one bid.
SECTION 2: HOLIDAYS
We all know ROBLOX has events for Halloween and Thanksgiving, but not everyone celebrates them. Plus, Canada has Thanksgiving at a different time.
The idea is simple, have a checklist on what holiday events do and do not show up.
SECTION 3: TIME AND TIME ZONES
On the forums, everything is in Pacific Time, in 12-hour time. Not every country has 12-hour time, so there should be an option for 24-hour time. For example, 12:00 AM would be 0:00 and 1:00 PM would be 13:00. There would be a time zone selection, because it’s obvious that not everyone lives in Pacific Time. Daylight Saving Time would be in effect on each country that has it and it would change the time for that country. The forums would show up as the time zone as the user viewing them.
TL;DR
ROBLOX should have the site and games translated, and a checklist can be picked out for which holidays show up. There would be settings for how time shows up.
