Before I begin with the Season 2 rules for D2 (GSS aka Gatorade Sand-ster Series), if you are interested with signing up then join the group!
These are rules that apply to D2 only, D1 is different.
If you don't follow any of these rules you will be given a warning. If you reach 3 warnings I will ban you from the game and you will receive a DNF.
Section 1- Respect
1.1 Respect all drivers.
1.2 Respect all officials.
1.3 Do not harass anyone.
1.4 Do not wreck another driver, and race clean.
Section 2- Flags
2.1 There will be a yellow flag if 2 or more collide or wreck. When the yellow flag waves line up in order single file and pace around the track about 20-30 MPH.
2.2 There will be a red flag if there is a severe incident, such as a car stuck in the track or a big wreck. When the red flag waves line up at the s/f line single file. When the yellow is called, then do the procedures you would for 2.1.
2.3 There will be a black flag after a driver gets his/her second warning from violating a rule. If you receive a black flag, you will automatically go 1 lap down.
2.4 There will be a white flag when its the last lap. If a yellow flag comes out during the last lap it will result in a race back. This means, THERE WILL NOT BE ANY REDOS!
Section 3- Qualifying
3.1 Every driver will qualify one at a time, please wait your turn to qualify.
3.2 When its your turn to qualify you will take 2 laps. Both laps are timed, and your time is counted as both laps.
3.2.1 Example: If your first lap is 10 seconds and your second lap is 9.5 seconds your qualifying time is 19.5 seconds.
3.3 You can't redo qualifying.
Section 4- Points
4.1 You will get points by where you finished, and passing points
4.1.1 Passing points is for moving up positions from your starting position.
4.1.2 For an example if you start 9th and finish 1st you will get 8 passing points for moving up 8 positions.
4.2 Your points can be taken away if you break the rules multiple times.
4.3 The points will be the same during the play-offs.
Section 5- Chase (Play-offs)
5.1 The chase works basically the same as real life NASCAR, except there's three rounds. 10-7-4.
5.2 You advance to the next round by winning, and each round has 3 races except for the round of 4 which only has one race.
5.3 If you violate rules from this rulebook you can get points taken away.
Section 6- Having Fun
6.1 Make sure to have fun while racing!
6.2 There will be ramps at each track so make sure to use them to have some fun!
