Congratulations! The Minister of Foreign Affairs is sending you to a country as a diplomatic representative of Israel! But what does this exactly mean?
Article I- Your job.
As a ambassador your job is to represent the Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs in Foreign countries.During meetings and events the Minister of Foreign ###### can’t attend to you will be there as his representative. If a scandal takes place around the Israeli Government you must justify the actions made by the government infront of the Government in your hostcountry.
If the country you work in agrees, a ambassador could ask for a embassy in a city. He can start hiring employees who can have certain jobs surrounding the interests of Israel (Economic, Cultural, etc.).
Article II- Reports
A ambassador will report his actions in a weekly report to theMinister of Foreign Af#######f there’s a serious problem, call the Minister right away.
In these reports you should write down what happened during the week. It will have a minimum of 150 words.
Article III- Safety and crime.
A diplomat in a foreign country can’t be brought to court by the country, be imprisoned or get arrested by the country you work in (Diplomatic immunity). If a diplomat commits a crime or shows serious misconduct the country you work in can suspend you from your diplomatic mission and send you back to Israel. If the hostcountry provides proof, you will be brought to court in Israel. Suspension from your country will get you fired from the Ministry if it’s due to your behaviour. You should always return from your mission if war is declared between your country and Israel. Attacks on diplomats are seen as a warcrime according to the Geneva Convention.
The country you work in is responsible for your safety and protection. If you do manage to get hurt or get arrested during your stay, you report it to the Minister.
Article IIII- Diplomatic Security
The Indian Diplomatic Security provides protection for foreign ambassadors in Israel. They will also make sure that their right on Diplomatic Immunity is kept.
