The phrase "There is no emotion,there is peace"
Through freeing oneself of emotion a Jedi becomes a being of peace.

The phrase "There is no ignorance, there is knowledge."
There is no ignorance. A Jedi is a path that brings for knowledge. Falling to the Dark side is a path for those unwilling to learn the knowledge.
Ignorance Definition: lack of knowledge or information.
Knowledge Definition: facts, information, and skills acquired by a person through experience or awareness or familiarity gained by experience of a fact or situation.

The phrase "There is no passion, there is serenity."
Passion leads to the Dark side. Those will follow the light will be calm and have serenity in them.
Passion Definition: strong controllable emotion.
Serenity Definition:the state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled.
