It has gotten way out of control and has been heavily criticized for years. For good reason as it hinders communication with other players and makes chatting super difficult when innocent words get hashtagged. A super easy fix would be to start by blacklisting the basics such as swears and yes people will find ways around so instead of going crazy and hashtagging everything like it does now, all you would need is one person or a small team that could continually update the blacklisted words as players begin to find loopholes. This would make chatting ingame so much better and communication will not be hindered by a faulty censor system. |
