*first response* "They already made an age-related one, idiot, and parental controls is b-s." ROBLOX could make it so that a filter level is at a certain setting for different age groups, for those receiving the message, not for both. Say you're in a server or party, and there's 5 people who are 16+, 3 who are 13-15, 1 who is 7 or under, and 6 who are 8-12. Anyone in that server/party can type whatever. However, for each group, the younger you go down the line, more and more words get filtered out when those people receive it. That way, those who are "of age," can see everything that one player says. But those who are 11, for example, will receive the same message, but if it's dirty, those "foul" words can be censored. If ROBLOX comes to believe a certain account is worthy of parental guidance (age-wise), or the player is one who always has a parent beside them, those parents can then have certain manual controls to change what their child can/can't see in chats. Now I know, someone could fake their birth-date. Well, there is still parental controls. And, if the parent was there with the child when they chose that birth-date, then they must not care enough to assure that their child isn't vulnerable to "foul" language. Besides, in the end it shouldn't be ROBLOX's full responsibility to make sure that one child doesn't see an f-bomb in chat. If ROBLOX offers the resources to the parent, it should be their responsibility. That way, we can all chat as we please, while also making sure ROBLOX is safe and ENJOYABLE for everyone. (IF TL;DR, I basically said ROBLOX should make it so certain age groups can only receive certain details/have no restrictions, and their should be manual controls for parents.) I posted this on ATR, but I realize this was a better place, sorry for the inconvenience.
