> Right, but like I'm saying, orders down the chain of command often get misconstrued or delayed one way or the other. It's bound to happen. If you've ever been in a fairly large workplace or rigidly structured environment, you can see how hard it is to keep up comms even with a solid handle on structure/ chain of command. Not that I disagree or anything, just that we can't really demo######## guy for what could be errors from staff and along the C######5 cont.
> That truly is disappointing. Suppose congress totally acted against it, that would be very problematic from an organizational stand point. |

The refugees do not need to come to the US for asylum I'm pretty sure.
Europe seems big on letting them in, so let them handle it during the ban.
And I'm not in agreement, I don't think there should be a ban. I'm just of the belief that the world has a very warped sense of priorities if they're only focusing on protesting and complaining about an executive order.
As False says, congress will deliberate.
That means our representatives are doing what they will, and if that doesn't play out in the world's sensibilities,
What then? Burn more limos? |

-It's a pretty significant mistake to deny legal residents and citizens their right to enter the USA, sir. Trust me when I say that Obama's mistakes received just as much ire from me as Trump's getting for his ban.

-When you propose a change to the system, you have to make the assumption that the system is either broken or in need of improvement. If it wasn't broken, you wouldn't require 4 months to fix it. Which makes me question why Mr. Trump believes the current system (or old now, I guess) was broken in the first place.

-People at the heads of those departments didn't even know about the EO, sir. The people that are supposed to talk to the President on these matters. I know Kelly was surprised to learn that an EO about immigration had been released Friday.
"> That truly is disappointing. Suppose congress totally acted against it, that would be very problematic from an organizational stand point."
-But a victory for the system of checks and balances that our country was built upon. |

Everything a powerful nation does sets precedent. Don't be a fool and say something is, 'No big deal'.
Whether you are on the fearful side or the accepting side it doesn't matter. The U.S. putting a ban towards these countries in particular and planning on tightening regulations coming from that area in particular, establishes a few clear things.
That the American people are fearful of the individuals who may come in from that area. That the American people are not as accepting to even those from the worst conditions. That America cannot be seen as a safe haven for refugees.
It helps in an effort to further deteriorate American relations with the middle east, making future peace/relief efforts in the countries listed much less possible.
"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
There's already an entire ocean dividing us. But nah, America is just like. "Europe will take all the refugees, don't expect us to help." |

False:
You've convinced me.
I don't like giving into trend, and I feel like its more popular to bag on Trump than it is to look critically at what he does.
Thanks man. |

Of course. Thanks for the conversation. |
