That would still hurt the American Consumer. All the companies would shift and it would just be a huge mess. Trust me, a 20% import tax would hurt us more then it would Mexico.

It's basic logic. Mexico is the 3rd largest importer. A 20% tax is imposed on Mexican Imports. Prices for the goods go up 20% to pay for the tariff. The People need to cope with this upheaval in prices, but this 20% increase also affects lots of daily items, like food.

As I said, it's simple logic. I really don't see how it could possibly hurt the Mexican Government, just companies that import and US Consumers. I don't believe a dime would be shed from the Mexican Government's pocket.

Seems like you don't know how economics work, I've actually discussed this with a CFO and a stock broker and a top Accountant, they all agreed that is would hurt US Consumers.
