This new "safety" policy is horrible. I have been a member of Roblox for many years, and this is one of many horrible updates that has ruined the game for myself and others. Back in 2012, I could read someone's sentences, I could say more or less what I pleased, I could benefit from people playing my games, I could afford to buy cool stuff with a certian long dead currency. So much of what I loved about Roblox, that sparked my own and many others creativity, is gone in what seems like a venture to get every last cent out of me. BC and NBC both didnt have to be subjected to ads just to get into a game, and groups could actually afford to grow and be competitive without digging into their wallets.
Back to the Subject now that I have covered the glory days. This Filtering enabled thing absolutly ruins all of my group places, and renders the past year my devs and I have spent on scripting and building entirely irrelevant. My raid systems dont work, my team change gui doesn't work, and I am frankly sick of these sudden and unknown out of the blue things that I just have to deal with. Im sick of you breaking my games, to improve security. In the past year, you have forced updated to increase security and safety, which have eaither broken the chat, rendered anyone with a certian computer core unable to play (myself being one of them than will never get that two weeks of OBC back), and made people start all over again from square one. I must say this one takes the cake in that last regard.

I agree, ROBLOX was much better back in the day when all of these safety features weren't unnecessarily enforced. |

if you don't know how to make your stuff FE, you're not actually a programmer. I disagree with the update and have been a long time advocate for using FE in clans and everything else, but this is a step too far from roblox.

Isota, I think he's saying that the FilteringEnabled breaks his scripts for the terminal and GUIs. I'm sure he knows how to enable it. |

I for one am not happy with the updates which have been developed and centered around the mere greed of the Roblox staff rather than keeping the game what it was meant to be... A free world where you can develop and play whatever game you want.
This game is no longer centered where it can be free. You can't earn currency unless you're a member is one of the significant issues. This has resulted in massive losses of profit for Clan leaders and developers. Sure you can make money off of game passes and clothing, but this doesn't benefit those that don't have a membership and can't get one. Let's face it, not everyone's parents are willing to get their kids a membership.
In addition to this we've seen the roll out of these so-called "safe updates" which have ultimately made some things unbearable to deal with. Issues where entire sentences are hashtagged out because a word is spelled wrong, or even words that are hashtagged out for no apparent reason when it's not even a "bad word".
This game has turned into nothing but a labor camp for children and young adults to earn a company money with nothing but poor updates, poor services, and limited abilities and freedoms in return. Security can only go so far, until the point where such a world is plain unbearable. This game is practically broken in the means of anything clan related of play-ability. This has become suited for only the people which dump money into the game, earn the roblox staff money, or tech creators which seek no reason to play a roblox game (and even this has become limited with the roll-out of the Filtering Enabled mandatory update and amount of content which gets broken because of roblox 'security' updates).
Most games make steps to benefit the customers and work towards making the game more free to play. Roblox and co. have done the exact opposite, and it's only getting worse. Their acts are then hidden with excuses stating "this is not an attempt for us to make money." Well what is it Roblox? Because these actions have not helped the game's economy, attract more members, or bettered the community. Sure you can make the argument, "Well if you don't like it, then just leave!" And go where? No other game has developed a community to be like this, and it doesn't seem any game is willing to do it in the future. Is it really that much to ask them to roll back some of these ridiculous 'updates' which have done nothing but worsen the gameplay and community of a once great game? |

that's what I'm saying. If he doesn't know how to make his tech compatible with it, he's not actually a programmer. It takes 5 minutes.

The game that was envisioned as a creative sandbox game with unlimited possibilities has unfortunately taken a downfall.
In 2006, David Baszuki and Erik Cassel released ROBLOX with the idea of players being able to design their own worlds. Since that time, ROBLOX has evolved and adapted to the changing cultures of video gaming. ROBLOX used to focus on community activity, creation, a good in-game economy, and overall improvement. Regrettably, I believe that ROBLOX is now beating around the bush when it comes to real improvements.
ROBLOX is adding features to the game that flat out ruin the experience. The most substantial example of this was the removing of Tix. The company clearly was NOT caring about how it would affect the community and economy. This is an even greater plea to people to buy Builders Club. Meanwhile, they have an incredibly mindless chat filtration system implemented which tremendously hinders communication. Arguably one of the WORST decisions they have made is to make games without filtered chats 13+. Still, strangely enough, they continue to keep these ideas rolling with a lot of holes.
Furthermore, ROBLOX has lost it's great features. It has lost it's entertainment aspect. And most importantly, it has lost it's ingenuity. Ultimately, I fear that ROBLOX will continue heading in this direction, but I hope that a developer at ROBLOX will read this thread, to see the viewpoints of long time players.

that is really poor scripting habits
I'm not sure why a raid system would even be run on the client
This is bad practice in general and should have been avoided the first time
Your team change GUI should only take ~5 mins to fix, raid system should be server sided
Guns are the hardest things to convert to FE but only take ~2 hours |
