➤ I: Introduction
Sleetings! Sleet Clan uses a variety of communication applications to help connect the community, and help high ranks better organize various events. This is a great way for low ranks to easily become of the group, and become notified quickly of events / important announcements in Sleet Clan. It is highly recommended you attempt to at least have access to one of these programs.

➤ II: Teamspeak
- What is Teamspeak?
Teamspeak is # voice communications program used prominently in the clan world, and more importantly, in Sleet Clan. TS3 allows for large and efficient group communication. It's especially useful during events such as raids, rallies, trainings or just to talk to fellow Sylvians!
The TS3 is an essential part of the SC community, and if we want it to stay that way, it needs to have active members. Using Teamspeak 3 can give you more in-touch communication with the SC community. You will find it as a place where any SC member can communicate with another, and it is an important asset during SC events.

- Acquiring Teamspeak
Downloading Teamspeak is pretty easy. Simply type “teamspeak3 download” into your browser's search bar and click a download depending on your OS.

- Setting up Teamspeak
First off, you want to set up your microphone. You can use voice activation, which if the sensitivity is set correctly, it will only pick up your voice when you talk into the microphone. The other option is Push to Talk. With this you will not broadcast unless you hold down a designated button. You will have to choose a button for this. I recommend "Q" or your middle mouse button (Scroll-wheel). You can change this at any time to adjust to your comfort.
If you do not have access to a microphone, no problem! Make sure your capture device is set to Push to Talk with and you can still use the text chat to communicate. Make sure you do not broadcast your computer sounds in the Teamspeak or you will be muted.
If you want to change your settings at any point you can do so through the client.

- Connecting to the SC Teamspeak
Once all of that is through, you can start using Teamspeak and connecting to servers! Click ‘Connections’ on the top left, click ‘Connect’. Then type in the server address: sleetclan?com. Replace the ? with a .
For your nickname, put your roblox username. It is essential you do this so an Officer can confirm you are in Sleet Clan and give you permissions. Without doing this, you risk being kicked from the teamspeak.
Now just click ‘Connect’ and you are ready to go! You can wait or poke someone in the description of the channel called “Important Contacts” (this is above the Frost Peak) to give you permissions so you can switch between channels and have permissions to speak. If no one appears to be online, you will have to try again when there are users online.
The server also has tags for divisions and boards in Sleet Clan. If you are in any divisions or a part of any boards, make sure to tell a Superior+ so they can make sure you get those tags.

- What is Discord?
Discord is a free chatting website/app that Sleet Clan uses for members of Sleet Clan to chat with each other regularly, and we use various rooms for boards, divisions, and for the HiCom to easily contact each other when necessary. It also helps easily integrate new members into Sleet Clan, as we also have multiple public chat rooms for all!

- Discord Usage
To use Discord, you can either just search “Discord” in your browser’s search bar in order to find the website. You can also download Discord by searching “Discord download” and clicking “Download Now”. It is recommended you download the app to your computer, as it is easier to receive notifications and access this way! There is also a phone app that you can find on your smartphone in the app store.

- Registering for Discord
To sign up for Discord, simply go to the website and click “Register” under the big Login button. After this, type in the necessary information. It is recommended that you do not make your username related to any real life information.

- Joining the Sleet Clan Discord
When you have made your Discord account, login and click the “+” sign inside the circle on the left hand side. After that, click the “Join a Server” button, and put in this invite code: Tnk3fb5
Once you’ve done that, you’re on! Simply type in the request_for_perms chat room, and an Officer will make sure to assign perms to you. Make sure to state your ROBLOX username, and any divisions/boards you are in so you can be assigned to the correct permissions.
