Geography:
This game's setting is on three islands, in which the sole survivors of humanity live. We'll get to that in a second. When you first enter the game, you will find yourself on the principle island. This island is simply called "Main". On this island is where most of the population lives, mainly those who make the decisions. The island has no farms, although has some plants and wildlife. The next island is just as big, and is simply called "Work Island". This island is mainly a farming island, though many people still live on this island. There is also something hidden under this island...possibly # reactor. The last island is more or less lifeless, and is called "Metal Island" because of it's high source of metal and crystal ores. There are little to no people living on this island, and is usually used by the humans to find more resources. Each of the islands are connected with bridges. There is more beyond the islands, but no one ever dares venture beyond.
History:
Humans used to live around the world as they did in the 21st century. However, a nuclear war (how original yes?) brewed between two countries and caused most of earths crops and wildlife to #### This wasn't a sci-fi movie, and humans could not yet travel large distances in outer-space easily. So, they traveled to a group of islands somewhere in the south pacific region. These were few humans, less than 100,000 as most humans died from radiation, or so was believed. 543 years have passed since this war, and most humans are still scared of the outside world. Little do they know, life has managed to cope outside of the islands. Yet it is everyone's plan to remain on the islands. Simply put: No one wants to leave.
Roles:
Ever citizen is given a role at age 14. They must accept this role, and cannot change this role. (BTW: Everyone, please don't ALL choose one role. I don't want everyone to do the same, or only two things. lets have some variety) These roles each have some beneficial effect on society. The roles are as follows:
Chooser.
A politician. As a chooser, you would mainly stay on "Main". Choosers make decisions, and also determine the future roles of children below 14. Only the creator of the game (mefalop) and people granted permission can have this role.
Creator.
A farmer. As a creator, you would mainly stay on "Work Island". Creators are robust, healthy, and friendly characters.
Enforcer.
Police or soldiers. These people take orders from Choosers and make sure everything is running smoothly. They mainly stay on "Main", though they often visit "Work island" as well. No permission is needed, but make sure you let mefalop or an admin know you chose this role for your role-play character.
Discoverer.
A scientist. They spend most of their time indoors on "Main" doing sci-ency stuff. Often, they take orders from Choosers to develop new technologies.
Abandoned.
This is the name that is given to those that live outside of the islands. It is believed by many no humans are left, and instead the population is mutated zombies. This is not entirely true, as it is possible people have restarted life outside the islands...
