TRAINING MANUAL
BASIC KNOWLEDGE
DISCIPLINE
=============================================================================
Officers should be strict when introducing discipline in order to heavily enforce its ideals and requirements.
Everyone must know that there is a time and a place for seriousness and fun. While on duty at any of our places, all personnel are required to act mature and disciplined. Failure to show discipline and maturity at any of our places will result in demotion or exile.
Enlists should also know that if they wish to speak in line they must request for “PERMISSION TO SPEAK [RANK] and or SIR/MA’AM”
All enlists should establish that officers should are to be referred to as “Sir/Ma’am” and all lower ranks should be called by their rank, EX/ “Kadett”.
BASIC COMMANDS
=============================================================================
Firing Procedure
All rankers should be taught the simple commands, along with sequences, when using muskets. This should include: “MAKE READY - PRESENT - FIRE - RELOAD”
Talking Procedure
You must have permission to talk to the line commander by asking
‘PERMISSION TO SPEAK, [RANK]’, or ‘PERMISSION TO SPEAK, SIR/MA’AM’.
Falling out Procedure
You must have permission to fall out of the line to go BRB or AFK by asking
‘”PERMISSION TO FALL OUT, [RANK]”, or “PERMISSION TO FALL OUT SIR/MA’AM”.
This also applies to falling in.
Spacing Procedure
You must not hold hands and leave about 0.1 studs between the person standing on your left and right; unless told otherwise.
Passing Officers/Commanders
When passing an Officer/Commander, you must salute them with [LEFT CLICK]. The Officers and Commanders of the Swedish Empire have their ranks for a reason, and deserve respect.

Volley fire
All men in line will fire a volley at the same time. The commanding officer of the line will say “MAKE READY” (Left Mouse), “PRESENT” (Right Mouse), “FIRE!” (Left Mouse). Once the entire line fired, the commanding officer will say “RELOAD” (R to reload). Once all men are ready, this process can be repeated.
Ripple fire
All men in line will fire one after another. The commanding officer of the line will say “MAKE READY” (Left Mouse), “PREPARE TO RIPPLE FIRE FROM THE LEFT/RIGHT”, “PRESENT” (Right Click), “FIRE!” (Left Mouse). After all men have fired the commanding officer will say “RELOAD” (R to reload). Once all men are ready, this process can be repeated.
Fire at will
All men in line will fire and reload in their own time. The commanding officer of the line will say “MAKE READY” (Left Mouse), “PREPARE TO FIRE AT WILL”, “PRESENT” (Right Mouse), “FIRE!” (Left Mouse). From thereon, all men will fire and reload as t##y themselves please. Once the commanding officer says “CEASE FIRE!”, all men will stop shooting and will reload.
Blanket fire
All men in line will fire a set amount of times. The commanding officer of the line will say “MAKE READY” (Left Mouse), “PREPARE TO BLANKET FIRE # TIMES”, “PRESENT” (Right Mouse), “FIRE!”. All men will then fire the amount of times that the officer has previously mentioned.
Bayonet drill
All men in line will charge with their bayonets attached. The commanding officer of the line will say “CHARGE BAYONETS” (X). Once your commanding officer then shouts “CHARGE”, you’ll charge towards your enemy, bayonet at the ready. Once at your enemy, you’ll click Left Mouse to stab. Should your commanding officer yell “WITHDRAW”, all men shall - in formation should this be possible - reform their line and walk backwards, while facing the enemy.
Fire by rank
All men will be in double ranks (or more) before firing by rank. The officer will address one rank at a time and once one rank is reloading the other rank will be doing the regular firing procedures.
FORMATIONS
=============================================================================
Stagger formation
All men will make a ‘zig-zag’ formation. Once the commander of the line says “PREPARE TO FORM STAGGER”, all men will count themselves from the right side. Every ‘1’ will stand still, whereas every ‘2’ will step back one pace when the correct command is called. Once the commanding officer of the line shouts “FORM STAGGER, MARCH”, all ‘2s’ will step back the length of a musket. To reform the shoulder-to-shoulder formation, the commanding officer will say “REFORM”.
Forming two ranks
All men in line will - like with forming a Stagger - count themselves from the right side. Every ‘1’ will stay put. Once the commanding officer says “PREPARE TO FORM TWO RANKS”, “FORM TWO RANKS, MARCH”, all ‘2s’ will move back the length of a musket. Afterwards, they will Right Turn, step up until they are at the level of the ‘1s’ and Left Turn again. Should the commander say “COVER DOWN”, all men will move towards the right to close any gaps. “CLOSE ORDER TO THE FRONT”, “MARCH!” will fix the gaps between the ranks by having the Second Rank advance to meet the back of the Front Rank.
To reform a single rank again, the steps listed above will be done in reverse. “OPEN ORDER TO THE REAR”, “MARCH!” will have the Second Rank move back. “OPEN ORDER TO THE LEFT / RIGHT’ ‘MARCH!” will have both ranks open a one man gap between each other. “REFORM!” will have the second rank diagonally to fill the gaps in the First Rank.
Left wheel
All men stand in a shoulder-to-shoulder unless stated otherwise. If the officer says “LEFT WHEEL, MARCH”, the person at the far left side of the line will turn left. All men will then fall in on his right, in the same order as before. You could compare it to opening a door.
Right wheel
All men stand in a shoulder-to-shoulder formation unless stated otherwise. If the officer says “RIGHT WHEEL, MARCH”, the person at the far right side of the line will turn right. All men will then fall in on his left, in the same order as before. This, naturally, works similarly to executing a left wheel.
