1. A lot require you to have taken cell physiology [and genetics although less; 2nd semester] which are sophomore classes 2. Paid-Internships. A lot of other majors work their interns and don't pay them but I've seen a lot that my school sends me with payment. For example a random thing I received (we have a peep who sends a lot of opportunities to everyone's ##### regardless if they qualify) at the University of New Mexico in the summer where you do an ecology thing for like 10 weeks, receive $5,250 stipend, have travel paid for, have hotel paid for, have food paid for [they give you a budget] 3. Partnership opportunities. Local graduate schools take in people who fit #1 easier than other applicants. UCSF does this and I appreciate that. This is because we let their students be TAs for our laboratory classes. |
