It's part of the problem and it will become a huge problem as he ages. He will Peter out in his early 30s if he keeps it up. The body can't take the physical demands and punishment of football if you're constantly abusing it. If he stops he could last into his late 30s and he'd be less likely to get injured now

He occasionally drinks during the season (this will hinder healing ability and therefore leave him more vulnerable in the coming game) He also drinks during the off season which limits strength gains as drinking the day before a workout hinders your ability to perform to ####### potential
