In a recent Roblox blog post, tarabyte stated that individual bo####a####olor selection will be replaced with Skin Tones, where head, torso, arms, and legs will all be the same color.
"after we launch the new Avatar Editor page in the next few weeks, you will only be able to select one color at a time to represent all body parts going forward."
(However, outfits that have multicolored skin will still remain functional. In fact, it is reccommended by the blog post to save such outfits before the switch.)
Why. Why is Roblox removing this valuable customization feature entirely? Roblox, please, just give us some sort of way in this new Avatar Editor to customize individual #### #### colors. A lot of people just wear mostly transparent T-Shirts with multicolored body parts as their outfits. Making your arms white on a sweatshirt whose hand slots are transparent simulates wearing gloves. Some groups will have transparent portions on the torso or arms of their uniform that allow a color corresponding to the user's rank to be shown. Some people will discolor one limb's color to emulate a prosthetic arm or leg.
Multicolored body parts have been an important feature to avatar customization since the beginning of Roblox - even if their popularity has been on the decline in recent years. Is it really that hard to implement them into the new Avatar Editor? Please, Roblox, consider leaving this unique feature in.
Please, any Robloxians who agree, pledge your support and assist the fight to make sure this feature isn't removed.
