Without evil, there would be no good, good would just be the normal
without good there would be no evil, evil would be normal |

"Without evil, there would be no good,"
um no actually because one IS the absence of the other |

But if only evil existed
we would think it was normal
because we wouldn't have had anything to compare it to. |
|
pwner195Join Date: 2009-11-01 Post Count: 9124 |
that would imply a standard was never established
which leads to an entirely new debate |
|
|
humans are born naturally selfish*
not evil
|
|
|
if you're saying that something is ____"er" than something, then obviously you need something to compare it to. this isn't the case if you're simply saying that something is good.
that doesn't make sense dark

"selfish"/"born evil" is a perverse twist on a basic survival instinct |

D_arrkJoin Date: 2011-06-25 Post Count: 2756 |
without good though, there would be new standards
they a both oxymoron's which depend on each other |
|
|
good and bad doesn't need a reference point. no matter what else exists, happiness will always be good and pain will always be bad, and things that bring one or the other are good or bad as well.

To make someone else feel good is a natural human instinct. Which would make a human also good. Humans are selfish when we want to be and good when we feel like it is necessary to be. Something as simple as an apology releases dopamine in your brain which means it is an instinct to be good(make others feel good).

under no circumstance would they switch like youve suggested
and indifference does not establish a true absence of morality |
