The F.E.A.R Major Tournament is the new way that Majors are promoted to Military Officer.
All the Majors in F.E.A.R, or at least the ones that want to be promoted, will be participating in this tournament.

//How the tournament is structured:
1) Every Month a tournament is be held to decide which of the Majors are ready to become Military Officers. As you know, in order to be an HR in F.E.A.R, you must know your way around the battlefield.
2) As a Major you are tested in individual skill, once you reach Military officer, you are trained and tested on your leadership capabilities. That is the last step to becoming a High Rank in F.E.A.R.
3) During the tournament there will be a variety of different matches, be it one on one or teamed. Each individual is tested on how well they can fight both by themselves, and with a team. While this is happening, the current High Ranks of F.E.A.R (along with the Emperor) will be watching over the ongoing matches and recording what they see.
4) At the end there will only be one winner of the tournament. However let it be known that the winner of the tournament is not necessarily the one who is promoted. That is to say, the winner of the tournament isn't the only one to be promoted.
5) Whether you win your matches or not is not the case, what the High Ranks in F.E.A.R are looking for is strategy, tactics, and how well you analyze the current situation and counter-act it.
6) How the tournament matches will actually function will be explained in-game.
//Rules of the tournament:
The rules of the tournament are the same as that of the regular training/raid rules within the F.E.A.R Codex. Other than that, any other rules will be explained during the tournament itself.
//Who can participate and who can spectate:
1) The only participants of this tournament are the Majors in F.E.A.R, if you are not a Major, then you cannot participate.
2) Anyone who is in F.E.A.R, or in an allied group of F.E.A.R, is allowed to spectate the tournament. F.E.A.R members are encouraged to come to the tournament so they can cheer their fellow comrades on! Those who are promoted during this tournament will be the future leaders of F.E.A.R, it's quite a historic moment.
//Date and time for the tournament:
Since most people in the United States start their spring break from schools on the 11th, the date for this months tournament was decided to be March 12th at 7:00PM EST. If you are a Major and you do not show up to the tournament by 7:15PM EST then you will be disqualified and will need to wait for the next tournament in order to participate.
A message to the participants:
Many of you will try your very best, many of you will pass because of this. But remember that there is always the chance that you will not pass this tournament, should this be the case then there's really nothing to worry about. Remember that there is a tournament held every month, so if you do not pass one, you will get another chance soon.
