Manual of Arms This Manual will teach you everything needed to be a successful soldier in the Brunswick Army. Terms • Terms are how you talk whilst On-Duty. Maturity is required at all times. When speaking to someone of the rank of Musketier to Haupt-Feldwebel, you will address them by their rank. For example; "Ja, Feldwebel." • There are also specific terms needed to be learned for combat: -Herr (Sir) -Ja (Yes) -Nein (No) Musketry & Basic Drill • Musketry and Basic Drill are what you will be trained with. Here are the essentials to Musketry: - Shoulder Arms-- Equip your musket. - Guard Arms-- Press G. - Trail Arms-- Press K. - Ground Arms-- Press H. - Carry Arms-- Press F. - NCO Arms-- Press J. - Make Ready-- Left Click. - Present-- Go into First Person, and right click. - Fire-- Discharge your weapon (ONLY ON COMMAND) - Reload-- Press R, after firing (ONLY ON COMMAND) - Charge Bayonets-- Press X. - Charge-- Charge your opponent in Charge Bayonets (ONLY ON COMMAND) * When you fire, wait for the command "Reload" in which case you will press R. * If the command "Charge Bayonets" is called, you will press X instead of Reloading. • Basic Drill is required to be known by every soldier in Brunswick Army. First and foremost are faces: - Eyes Front-- Face your Officer. - About Face-- Turn 180 Degrees. - Right Face-- Turn 90 Degrees to your right. - Left Face-- Turn 90 Degrees to your left. - By The Right-- One by one, you will form on the Officer's Right-Hand-Side. Do not clump up or fight for a spot. Basically a STS on the Officer's right. - By The Left-- One by one, you will form on the Officer's Left-Hand-Side. Do not clump up or fight for a spot. Basically a STS on the Officer's Left. - Form Two Ranks: On the given command of "Form Two Ranks," the person on the very left of the line will take a pace back, and go behind the person on the very right. Then the next person from the left, and so on. Order is to be kept. - Into Line: Once into Two Ranks, the back rank will take a pace to the left. Standing behind and in between that of the arms of the first rank. • That is all required to be followed whilst On-Duty. Officers, when hosting a training be sure to only give a promotion to 25% of the line unless instructed otherwise. Rules and Regulations Addressing Group Members • When speaking to anyone of the rank of Fahnrich or higher, you will address them as "Sir". • When speaking to anyone of a higher rank than Oberst you will address them as "Sir" or their "rank, name". • When speaking to a soldier of lesser rank, you will address them as their rank. Orders of Conduct • High Ranks and Soldiers will recognize their fellow soldiers and generals as appropriately. Failure to do so will result in demotion or court martial on grounds of insubordination and disrespect. • Any sort of bribery will be looked upon as treason and will result in immediate seizing of rank. • Any general or officer found revealing entrusted information to unauthorized personnel will be court martialed and dealt with depending on the severity. • Not following orders of superiors will be looked upon as severe insubordination and will result in immediate termination provided evidence is supplied to the high command. • Assaulting an officer or any man in your ranks for that matter, will result in immediate ban and exile provided evidence is supplied or witnessed by a member of command. • Do not speak treasonous words about the high command or His Highness as it will be looked on as severe disrespect or treason and as mutinous behavior. • Any form of mutiny is prohibited. Exile will be imminent without question. • Abuse of entrusted equipment, including the rights to admin, that is abused will result in termination of access to said equipment followed by a court martial if evidence is provided. • Arguing with superiors or disputing any matter through hostility, vulgarity, or threats will result in suspension or demotion on decision of the command or severity of the offence. • If any form of ignorance or lack of respect is found to be used against your superiors, suspension or demotion is a possibility depending on the level of insubordination. • Immaturity is not tolerated in-game. Any evidence of immaturity will have you reduced to the rank of which you are acting or exiled. • Any listed or unlisted laws that are passed are to be followed on a daily basis whether in-game or on a raid. Negligence is not tolerated and the response is dynamic depending on the situation. Customs Manual Saluting and Reception of Orders Guide • If the game is in a training or patrolling, the following procedure will be followed when a Generalmajor+ enters a server: - All men will fall into line formation (STS) at the spawn location for the group. - Depending on availability of tools, men will stand in rank order with all men of and below the rank of Haupt-Feldwebel having their muskets at "Present Arms." Officers will stand in a side line with their salute tools. - The arriving person will call "At Ease," in which each man will lower "Present Arms" and await orders. - Once orders are assigned, the General will call "Dismissed!" or "As you were!" Manual of Uniformity • Each man should be wearing an appropriate uniform authorized by the High Command or officer. • No man should have any sort of hairstyle out of uniformity except for facial hair. • No man should use any packages. • No man should wear absurd t-shirts except for any authorized awards received. Manual of Ranking -Lower Ranks range from Musketier to Haupt-Feldwebel, these personnel make up the bulk of the army, Only Feldwebels+ may take any form of command if necessary. -Middle Ranks are the officers, ranging from Fahnrich to Oberst, these individuals are the commanding officers of the army, enforcing the rules and taking command over individuals lower than them. -High Ranks or High Command ranges from Generalmajor to Generalfeldmarschcall, these hold overall command and have superior power to anyone else, they take command of raids, forts, garrisons or divisions such as Infantry, Cavalry, or Artillery (not the individual regiments) A more detailed form will come out solely for promotions, regiments, and rank translations.
