My question is how that sort of thing would even be detected anyway... That's all I'd want to know about this question. I just use a regular controller when I play with controller, since, ya know, I'm not into controller modding / etc.

I guess so. Though the admins of the game you're playing might notice auto-firing. I use autoclick a lot on those types of games, and I don't get caught :P.
