A BILL TO ALLOW THE FIRE DEPT. TO CARRY PEPPER SPRAY To allow the Fire Department to defend themselves in emergency situations. SECTION 1. Upon passage, the Norfolk City Fire Department will be legally allowed to carry Pepper Spray. SECTION 2. All FD will have the right to carry Pepper Spray. SECTION 2A. This will be used as self-defense. SECTION 3. The Norfolk City Government (City Council, Deputy Mayor, Mayor) will be tasked to enforce this. SECTION 4. This legislation shall go into effect immediately upon passage, with of course development approval. SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void. Respectfully submitted to the Norfolk City Council.
