Section 2 - Basic Requirements
1.1: Pool size: (Studs [Length/Width/Depth]): 144.6/91.4/20 2 meter line (Red)
5 meter line (yellow)
1:2 Dress Code: Male, wear speedo or swimming trucks in game.
Female: Wear a swimming suit.
Game Officials/Referee's Wear a white polo (Can be found in group store,
or wear your own.) And the RWPL Ref T-Shirt.
1:3 Team Rules: Each team may have a maximum of 13 players on their roster with it being 2 or 3 goalies and ## ## ## ##### players. A team may only have 7 players in the pool at once with 1 goalie and 6 field players.
Section 2 - How to Play
2:1 Objective: You will have 6 people from your team in the water at once, 2 teams in the water playing against each other and trying to win! Your team has to use team work to score on the other team! But their will be a goaly for each team, the goaly will try to block the shots and keep the ball from going in the net. You and your team will need to use team work to score the most goals before the game is over. The team that has the most goals at the end wins!
2:2 Starting: Each team will line up on the wall their goal is on, this means each team should be on different sides of the pool.
2:3 Field Players: Work as a t##m to to score goals on the other teams goal.
2:4 Goaly: Block all the balls that are shot at the net.
Section 3 - Rules/Fouls
3:1 Whistles: Foul=1 whistle blow, Turnover=2 whistle blows, Penalty=2 short whistle blows and 1 long whistle blow.
3:2 : Fouls: Fouls are awarded with a free pass or shot if outside the 5 meter line and move in one swift motion with the ball. Reasons for a foul may include. Defense goes too far under water, defensive player jumps and lands right on top of ball handler.
3:3 Turnover Fouls: Ball awarded to defensive team. Reasons for turnovers may include. Offensive player is inside 2 meter line as a pass or shot goes off. Offensive player goes too far under water.
3:4 Exclusion fouls/Penalties: Exclusion fouls award the opposing team of the excluded player to be awarded a 20 second power play. Exclusion fouls are awarded for. Admin Abuse (May result in brutality as well depending on how drastic.) Fighting with the opposing player, yelling at the ref/opposing coach. Double exclusion if both players are drastically fighting. In the case of a double exclusion the ball will be taken out of play by the player with the #### ######## ### #### to one of the referees and the team with the ball will be given the ball back with a new shot clock. If a player gets 3 exclusions he will be rolled (Ejected) from the game.
Section 4 - Game Info
4:1: Game clock: One quarter in a RWPL game will be 5 minutes and will be kept by a scorekeeper or ref if a scorekeeper is not present. Clock stops after a goal or foul. Clock will be moving in the case of a team being up by 10+ goals.
4:2: Shot clock: Shot clock is 30 seconds long and will require the offensive team to ##### ### #### within the time if failure to do so the ball will be awarded to the other team. Shot clock resets after each change of possession and after a shot on goal. Shot clock stops if there is a foul and is reset after a goal.
4:3: In between quarters: In between the 1st and 2nd quarter and 3rd and 4th quarter teams will have 1 minute to talk unless they are lined up for the sprint. Halftime will be 3 minutes.
4:4 After a goal: After a goal teams must set up at the half tank line on their respective side. (Except the goalie stays in the cage.) If they are not on their side they will be notified by a ref. If they fail to comply then there will be a forced substitution.
Rules may change, if they do it will be in the group shout.
