I think, and I don't see any reason against it, there should be the option to both edit and delete your own threads and replies. YouTube has it, Discord has it, Twitter has it, just about every other website has this ability. I think it should also work exactly the same way as the rest. If you edit a thread/reply, (edit) or (edited) would appear gray somewhere next to what you wrote. Deleting would also be quite useful for getting rid of posts that just take up space (that you wrote, obviously). Anyways, tl;dr version: Edit/Delete options exactly the same way as every other website. Objections? ~MightyDantheman~

they do this for moderation and integrity purposes. what you post will stay there forever, and you need to take responsibility for what you say and accept what comes your way within the bounds of the roblox rules

You know, when you edit or delete a comment, tweet, reply, or whatever it may be, it doesn't change the record, only what's publically visible. So the same should be true for ROBLOX. A record could easily be stored as it already is now, but allow us to modify what's shown publically. ~MightyDantheman~

Well, I have suggested this before... No support. When it comes to gramatical errors, they can be fixed easily, but when it comes to abusing, people would change the entire post and have some words like ####, ####, etc. sincerely, roblox soldier (RAP: 7)

That doesn't seem like it really matters. The whole point of being able to edit is to fix errors without spamming. Have you ever had a time where you tried to correct something that was filtered, but it took 3-4 times to fix? As for abusing, your example is invalid. There is no possible way to abuse this as all changes will also be logged behind the scenes. If people seem to be talking about something completely different than what the thread says and '(edited)' appears next to it somewhere, it's pretty obvious what happened there. There is literally no reason that this shouldn't exist. If there was, every other website that has this wouldn't. Try again. ~MightyDantheman~

well it's not the site's problem that you can't proofread

Actually, it is. How will I know if my thread gets filtered? I'd have to click 'preview' and I doubt anyone does that. Besides, why is everyone against this? No one has given a valid argument yet. Instead of saying that we could deal with the way it is now, why not realize that this option is available? There's nothing wrong with it and could even reduce spam caused by fixing errors. Either way, this isn't anywhere near the top of my 'must-have' list, but this is still something simple to do that as no backlash and would clean up the forums a little bit. ~MightyDantheman~
