BreakWeldsOnDead is very usefull. When ###### ## your character will be having the classic roblox dead but when turned off you are able to play animations and welds won't break. Support? |

The welds work like that for a reason. Even though it can be a pain sometimes, you'll have to script for this instead of against it.

;-;
But do you support?
This could be very usefull.
How do you actually script so welds won't break?
Bump. |
What are you doing that would break a weld? Welds literally weld two parts together, so why wouldn't it break if the parts were forced apart? ################# |
Well if a Humanoid dies all his body parts fall apart? |
^ in roblox.
That's just roblox. |
characters use motor6ds...
I'm not much of a scripter, but this sounds like a cool idea. I'll support it.

Like Snowskateer said, player characters don't use welds. Just replace the old joints with ball joints.

^ I don't get it...
Do ball socket constraints function like motor6ds too?
How? |
Ball sockets allow rotation, but their position is still locked. But it depends what you're trying to do. You might be better off using other methods if those don't work for your situation.

Wait, but you can use ball socket contraits instead of motor6ds for animating too? |
What are you trying to animate? As long as each part is only welded to one body part, then it should be fine without the ball socket. Are you trying to animate non-body parts of the player as well or are you just trying to weld parts to moving body parts?
