Introduction The primary Directive of the United States Military Police USMC Division is is to ensure the safety of troops and their families domestically and on foreign operations bases. The Military Police strives for realism and dedication to their job to protect America's Veterans, with that being said, most times it may seem as we are out to get our brothers; that is not the case. We strive to withhold the laws set by the USMC Code of Conduct, by doing that, everyone makes mistakes. Please be patient with MP as we are still building our structure up from recent reforms, I, the Commanding General promise that MP will strive to be the most organized and disciplined division in the USMC. ____________________________________________________________________________ II. Ranking System [MP12] MP Department General [O7-O10] Description: MP Department General is the highest ranking officer in the MP. He may write the rules and set new standards for MP. He oversees the MP Staff and makes changes as he sees fit. [MP11] Commanding Officer of MP [O6] Description: The Commanding Officer of MP oversees MP and it's command structure. With that being said, he/she is responsible for the organization and activity of the MP including tryouts, trainings, writing guidelines, ect. He reports any executive problems to the MP Department General. [MP10] Executive Offiver [O5] Description: The Executive Officer is the Chief Advisor to the Commanding Officer and is responsible for his or her duties when the Commanding Officer is away or has tasked the XO with a responsibility. I.E Tryouts, Trainings, [MP9] Sergeant Major of MP [E9b#####scription: The Sergeant Major of MP oversees all enlisted Marines in MP, he is the secondary advisor to the Commanding Officer and is responsible for the well being and knowledge of those he oversees. [MP8] Section Commander [O3-O4] Description: Section Commanders are officers in the MP which can aid during trainings, tryouts, etc. They may command MPs during patrols and select gate guards. [MP7] Senior Investigator [O2] Description: Senior Investigators oversee investigators that are investigating crimes committed by USMC personnel. [MP6] Investigator [O1] Description: Investigators investigate crimes committed by USMC personnel and report their findings to Senior Investigators or Section Commanders [MP5] Senior Supe###################scription: Senior Supervisors oversee MP officers the rank of supervisor and below. They help the Sergeant Major of MP handle the enlisted MP officers. [MP4] Supervisor [E7-########scription: Supervisors oversee MP officers below their command and report problems to their Senior Supervisor. [MP3] Senior Officer [E5-E6] Description: Senior Officers may oversee MP officers if no higher rank is present and may assign duty stations if granted permission from a higher ranking MP officer [MP2] Patrol Officer [E4] Description: Patrol Officers' jobs are to patrol USMC bases and guard pivotal points such as the front gate. This is the first rank to be granted a weapon. [MP1] Junior Officer [E3] Description: Junior Officers are new officers still learning the ropes of being an MP and may be put on guard duty at the gate but with NO weapon. [AWAITING MP PLACEMENT] [E2] Description: While at this rank you may NOT act as an MP and must wait for a training/tryout to be promoted to [MP1]. ____________________________________________________________________________ III. General Rules 1.##u######r#########T###s active and you MAY NOT talk unless spoken to. 2. MP is an invite only division and must be your only division in the USMC. 3. Show respect at all times no matter the situation, (you can be reported too) 4. Your seasonal uniform must be worn at all times on duty. 5. Always follow orders. 6. DO NOT ask or beg for promotions, all it does is annoy the command staff. 7. You can not fall in with TECOM trainings, MP trainings only. 8. Follow your orders to the very best of your abilities. 9. Do not leak classified information MP to any other USMC party. 10. Record all arrests and report them to a Supervisor+. 11. MP is your ONLY division, leaving will result in demotion to E2. 12. Uniform Regulations MP uniforms are to be worn at all times in accordance to the current season. Fall and winter are woodland. Spring and summer are desert. Protocol All MP members above Junior Officer are responsible for patrolling and responding to calls of rule breaking USMC members. All unruly members, enlisted or officer, are to be reported without hesitation, with no second chances. When on gate duty, you will need to clear all USMC personnel below the rank of O7. You will ask them for their name, rank, and purpose for coming to the base. If you encounter any problems, or they refuse to answer, you will not let them enter the base. If they enter without clearance, shout once for them to halt, if they continue to go in the base, open fire with your weapon. If you encounter any problem that you cannot handle alone, call for a higher rank, and another officer. ____________________________________________________________________________ VI. Evidence Gathering Protocol All evidence gathered is to be turned over to an officer or the Sergeant Major of MP, all withheld evidence can subject you to charges and judicial actions put on yourself as well.
