Someone's going to have their head connected to another person's body in December of this year. Pretty much all previous testing of body transplants on animals died within 2 weeks, since the body would end up denying the head (or vise-versa), although I'm not sure how much testing was done with the exact method being used in this specific surgery. Still though, even if the patient is pretty much guaranteed to die within a week or two of the surgery, assuming it even manages to succeed, it's still pretty a significant event. FYI, the patient is terminally ill and I'm assuming would end up dying shortly after the surgery date regardless so it's not like he has anything to lose if the surgery goes wrong, doesn't let him live for long, etc. And yes, this is totally 100% related to Ro-Sports on Roblox™. supposedly we're going to be able to upload human consciousness into a computer by 2050 if this happens then we'll literally be able to achieve immortality and robotic bodies.

I have heard of this. A Russian guy is paralyzed from the neck down. The surgeon believes it could lead to people paralyzed from the neck down being able to move again, with a different body of course. What they would do is "freeze" his head to stop brain cells from dying and connect tubes to support key blood vessels. Source: Daily mail

#### A surgically cut spinal cord is far different from the damaged spinal cords that we currently can't repair. I would assume it can be reattached. Regardless the patient is stuck to a wheelchair as is.

######### #### yeah, as I said it probably won't let him live for long if it does work. It's more a proof of concept IMO, and will also help us in future attempts.

We should focus on colonization (and terraforming!!!) of other planets and keeping our own one liveable before immortality IMO.

Just remember that we need new brains to live any longer than we currently do, being able to go into a new body simply makes us able to live in peak condition or not die of a terminal illness. Regardless, I think the option to continue living in a new body would be a choice you would be able to make and not forced upon you.
