If I may, there are some faults in this. BDS or DSS if you will, has it's moments of activity. Like FPS and USMS, they do literally the same thing, only with ambassadors. The Deputy Secretary of State has opened up to the idea that DSS is indeed a sub-agency and should get the recognition. There is a new director who can and will do the best of her ability to give DSS the leadership is so desperately needs. The agency is not recognized like the other government subdivisions which often creates the inactivity or lack of agents. If they were considered official or "on the same level" as the subdivisions of other departments (for example, FPS which is the subdivision/agency of the Department of Homeland Security). You can't be so quick to remove something before they even get a chance to embrace it. I'm not LVCC, but I am a DHS HICOM. I also happen to be the deputy director of DSS but I'm not advocating for the agency for that reason as it does have some faults. Give them a trial run or something. Also, to add on the reason for seeing no one on the Dept. of State team, we had a rule that was similar to SS stating that you could not be on team unless there was a protected present. I have the intention on lifting that as people mistake it for us being inactive.
########### You were the director ## ### ##### so you should know that such a rule exists. |
