These policies only apply to members of the Unionist Party of Arstotzka and not to the State. For state policies, see the group description.
The Unionist party supports the founding of Internal Factions (known as Political Unions, or simply Unions.) which may vary and manage in their own internal policies, but must remain true to the party ideology and policy. These unions may organize candidacy for various political offices and may be considered sub-parties. In the event multiple candidates from the party run for an office, They must be of differing unions (Unless they are in none), Or there will be an election within the union to decide the actual candidate before they are allowed to run.
If you are in another political party, you must make a choice: leave that party or leave the Unionist Party of Arstotzka. This is to ensure there are only loyal supporters in the party group. Some exceptions will be made to those considered loyal.
If you run for candidacy in a union you must secure a 70% majority to win. This is to avoid a 50.1% to 49.9% ratio, with the 50.1% winning. If no 70% majority is found within 30 days, The one with 60% or more will be selected. If there is no 60% or more, Both candidates will be restrained from running for political office until next election.
Members of Parliament or Ministers must adhere to the party ideology or risk being blacklisted from the party.
