I thought this would be something fun for me to compare and contrast. As most people know, these "categories" are basically two separate communities in the clan world. One using only guns, one using swords, (and then the smarties using both). I'd like to note that everything below IS MY OWN experience, and I really don't care about your opinion. Just wanted to emphasize that, hehe <3 Anyways, let's start picking apart the gunfighting community!! Firstly, I'd like to address how unwelcoming this community is. If you are new and you can't aim using brick point-and-click weapons, then you are automatically irrelevant. Nobody will listen to you unless you've got friends or connections. Very few gun clans will legitimately take the time to train and teach new members how to gunfight. Thus driving all potential away to play something else, such as Phantom Forces. However I do want to point out how tightly bonded some of these gun groups are. For instance, Resade, A-SOV, SF, and SC are some clans which have fantastic communities. Finally, I'd just like to point out how afraid gun clans are to lose a war or a raid. Leaders believe that all their members will leave the clan if they start to lose raids and wars. The opposite would occur in my mind. Many people would want to start winning and work harder for their group, in hopes that they may start to win some raids! But yeah, that just about sums up my own experience as well as observations of the gun community. Now for the #################### ##### Okay, yeah. I'll start off with the fact that this community is primarily comprised of children. I'm sure you've guessed immaturity and laziness are traits which many swordfighters possess. And because they are kids, competitiveness can be a huge issue. I've witnessed dramatic fights go on between swordfighting groups and civil wars even breaking out (Yikes!). Surprise, surprise, the lack of maturity can make it even more toxic to begin with. You'll often find admin abuse and flaming disturbing, as well as infectious during raids and defenses. This can be VERY frustrating for anyone trying to raid a group, along with the occasional incompetent hicom. Aside from that, swordfighting groups tend to teach and welcome new players. So that's a plus for them. They also have more players available to recruit. This can both be a blessing and a curse. Swordfighting clans are for casuals looking for something fun and welcoming to participate in. Gunfighting clans are for competitive individuals who want a challenging, and *somewhat* rewarding opportunity to take part in.
