This will include the rules and requirements of refereeing a game, to help you pass the refereeing exam coming up soon. Do your best to understand and memorize the key points, as you will not be expected to answer within a short time period during the exam. ------------Section 1: Match procedure PRE) Test the goal detection is working, then reset the score to 0-0. PRE) Make sure it is a new server, and not lagging or chat lagging. PRE) Ban any suspicious players or trouble makers. PRE) If the match is popular, you can slock it once the teams have joined. 1) Team the players and managers 5-10 minutes before, ask them to stay off the pitch. 2) Ask them to line up 1-5 minutes before kick off, warn them to not reset from now. 3) Those not wearing jerseys use the :shirt command to give them a kit (Div A). 4) If they are in Division B, you can use :crm instead of giving them a kit. 5) At kick off (or when ready if slightly late) call the teams to walk. 6) Announce the teams, the league/cup and a brief description of either teams form. 7) Announce whether Extra Time or the Etiquette rules apply to the match. 8) Announce any other special rules, such as 11v11) Give the dive tool to the goalkeepers. 10) Kick off the first half, the yellow team kicks off first. 11) Start the timer. 12) Ref the game. 13) At half time, call "Time" and send the players to their team rooms for 3-5 minutes. 14) When half time is over, make sure the teams swap sides then call them out. 15) When the game concludes, due to time or 10 goals, call the players to line up. 16) Announce the winning team and final score, say well done if both teams tried well. 17) Announce 1 MOTM, and why that player was chosen. 18) Announce 1-4 mentions, you don't need to give reasons for these. 19) Give any short tips or feedback to both teams. 20) Team everyone crowd and bring them to the pitch to celebrate until the next match. 21) PM RO_FOOTBALL the final scores, and any notable incidents. ------------Section 2: Cards 1) A player may receive a warning for: ---Moderate lag ---Minor lag that interferes with slightly ---Spamming 2) A player can receive a yellow card for: ---Minor lag that interferes with gameplay moderately ---Major lag ---Raging or other forms of bad sportsmanship ---Calling "Reach" when a Non-Reach ball is being used ---Crying at refereeing decisions ---Interfering with a corner/goal kick or penalty ---Grinding (using wall to hide ball) 3) A player may receive a SECOND yellow card for: ---Minor lag that interferes with gameplay moderately ---Major lag 4) A player may receive a red card for: ---Minor lag that interferes with gameplay moderately (3rd card) ---Major lag (3rd card) ---Raging or other forms of bad sportsmanship (2nd card) ---Calling "Reach" when a Non-Reach ball is being used (2nd card) ---Crying at refereeing decisions (2nd card) ---Interfering with a corner/goal kick or penalty (2nd card) ---Grinding (using wall to hide ball) (2nd card) ---Appearing to help the other team deliberately, such as own goals. (1st card) ---Extreme bullying (1st card) ---Refusing to sub off when asked by manager/assistant/coach/captain (1st card) ---Pitch invading when a substitute (1st card) ---Appearing to exploit (1st card) 5) A player may receive a black card (1 game ban) for: ---Extreme blaming teammates/bad sportsmanship after game has concluded ---Extreme raging after a game has concluded Basically, if you are carded for bad behavior/attitude you will get a yellow than a red. However if you receive your cards for lagging then you will get a second chance (2 yellows) before getting sent off. If a team received a red card they must play 1 man down, and can't sub on to fill the place UNLESS the player received the red card for "pitch invading" as a substitute. If a Referee believes further punishment than a 1 game ban should be given they must consult the Board with evidence. A Ref may also award a free kick with a card/warning whenever is appropriate. ------------Section 3: Penalties Penalties can only be awarded when: ---A team has an extra player, and fails to remove them within 10 seconds ---A moderate lag offence occurs within the box against the attacking team ---A deliberate own goal is scored by a rouge player ---In the form of a penalty shootout, in a cup game.
