The Junior program for Western Wake is a new program developed by the Battalion Chief so the JR's. can get out and go to calls and ride in the apparatus. WWFR's Chief staff is aware of the danger's of an untrained person being allowed O/S doing job's. That is why we have STRICT rules ALL JR's MUST FOLLOW. That's why we ask you read the rules we have listed at the bottom.
Note that at anytime you can be pulled from the JR. program if you don't follow all rules.WWFR is responsible for your safety at all times when doing things for WWFR.WWFR wants Safety First for all members.The Jr will be doing job's such as cleaning the truck's/Station cooking etc. If you have any questions please contact an Officer or Chief.
Eligibility

The jr must be in the main Group Western Wake Fire Rescue.
General Rules
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
1) The jr Fireman is to respect all citizens they serve in a professional manner. They are expected to be respectful to Fire##################,Chief's, & other Jr fireman. The jr must remember that everything he does reflect Western Wake Fire Rescue and they are representing us at all times.
2) JR Fireman are NOT to use the WWFR Radio unless instructed to do so by a Senior Fireman+.
3) JR Fireman are NOT to operate WWFR Vehicles at anytime.
4) JR fireman are NOT to use any WWFR tools unless instructed to do so by an Officer+.
5) JR fireman are NOT to go in a Live Fire. The only time a jr should go in the house is if the fire is clear and a Chief instructs you to go in WITH A SUPERVISOR. The jr is then to stay with the supervisor until they are out of the house. At anytime the JR is NOT to be left alone in the house.
6) JR fireman should stay aboard the apparatus until the Officer+ has cleared the scene to be safe for them to get out.
7) The jr fireman is not to work around Dead bodies give any first aid treatment or be around lot's of blood.
8) No Physical violence or destruction of property will be tolerated at anytime.
9) The jr is not allowed to enter a home/Private property unless the officer+ has cleared him.
10)Jr's are to be in there right helmet at all times. If they are caught wearing a Fireman's helmet or another color helmet besides the jr color they will be dismissed from the jr program.
11) Jr's need to at least have there bunker pants on in the truck and then they must be full bunker gear when O/S
Emergency Response

1) Jr's can RIDE trucks to calls. A fireman can take a seat at anytime if the truck is full and they need to go aboard that truck. Jr's then must give up the seat to the fireman.
2) Jr's cannot respond if they call is relating to hazardous materials, Explosive device etc.
3) O/S the jr is to sit in the truck until the all clear is given for him/her to get out.
4) If the jr feels that he/her can not handle a task they are to let the person who asked them know they don't think they can carry out that job.
5) If the jr is asked to do something that he/she knows they are not allowed to do the jr is to tell them they cant and walk away. If they fireman or officer still tells you to come and do it you are to tell a Chief that sec.

Please remember the battalion Chief+ can change anything written here and ALL jr's will be notified if it has been changed at any point.
