Welcome to the staff guide! Here you will find all the information about working here at Solstice°. Please make sure to familiarize yourself with the guide, as it tells you how to host properly, etc. If you need any important links such as the hosting submission form, spreadsheet, etc. please visit our discord and look in the rules and links channel. If you have any additional questions regarding this guide, please message myself or any of the Vice Presidents.

Shows are hosted in even time slots in the EST timezone (ex. 2am, 4pm, 8pm, etc.) If there is nobody claiming a time slot, you may add your name to the shout. For example if I wanted an 8pm show and the shout was;
[SHOWS-EST]Cou-2pm| go_s-4pm| UmJ-6pm| kyi-10pm [QoTD] Hot Cheetos or Takis?
I would need to copy the entire shout and add my name to the 8pm time slot in the [SHOWS-EST] section. I would add in Ari-8pm before the 10pm show and before the 6pm show;
[SHOWS-EST]Cou-2pm| go_s-4pm| UmJ-6pm| Ari-8pm| kyi-10pm [QoTD] Hot Cheetos or Takis?
If you add your name, you must enter the first 3-5 letters of your username and include which time slot you are claiming. You may NOT take another person’s show (replacing a name on the shout with yours) or delete someone’s show. If you do this, it will result in a warning.
Make sure you claim a time slot where you are available. If you know you won’t be able to attend your show, don’t schedule it! We hold all hosts accountable for attending and hosting their own show.

You must arrive at the runway maximum 5 minutes before your show, or other hosts are allowed to take over your show. Before hosting your show, you MUST choose a co. If somebody asks to co, you must allow them too. If nobody asks, then you don’t need to choose one. However, if there is a Show Host Apprentice in the server, you must have them co-host over other staff.
Once the clock has hit the time of your scheduled show, you must start off with an introduction (ex. “Welcome to Solstice! I am your host, (user)! Your co, (user), will start you off with a PT!”). If you do not have a co-host, you must give the models a warm-up practice theme. If you have a co, you must let them do the PT. There is only one Practice Theme. You or your co must then set a countdown, and when it runs out, ask the models to walk the runway with 5 second spacings in between. Runway is mandatory for the practice theme.
Once the PT has finished, your co (if you have one) must do their outro (ex. “Great job models! Onto your host!”). Then you must reveal your chosen showtype to them (ex. Partners, Match it, Elimination, Colour Reps, etc.)
There are several maps for specific show types, and you may TP the models to a map if needed. If required, you can also add new teams and team the models. Once you have set up the showtype, you may then give out the first theme or ID. Then you must set a countdown to give models time to change. Make sure you give the models a notification or a set message on what the current theme is (ex. :notify all Theme-(Theme) or :setmessage (Theme)).
Once the countdown has run out, you must either eliminate or give out awards (depending on showtype). If you are doing elimination, you must team the eliminated player a spectator. After elimination or awards, you must then hand over the next round to your co-host (if you have one).
You and your co-host will then alternate the rounds between the two of you until there are 3 models left. If you do not have a co-host, just continue doing the round yourself.
Once there are the 3 finalist models, you must then do placings and place each model on either 1st, 2nd or 3rd podium. Finally, you must give them each 5 credits and dismiss them.
Once your show is finished, please do not shutdown the server. Shout your winners at the start of the shout (ex. 1-(user), 2-(user), 3-(user)) and proceed to the hosting submission form to enter the details of your show.

If you did not attend your show or if your show was cancelled, please go to the hosting submission form and select the respective option. It will ask you as to why your show was cancelled, or why you did not attend. If you do not submit a form, we will assume you cancelled your show or did not show up because of laziness, which can result in a warning. |
