Section I - Overview.
The Code of Ethics acts as the guideline for all ethical and unethical behavior under the eyes of the foundation. These matters include Testing, Treatment of all Class-D, Treatment of Foundation Staff, and Resource Management. Remember, the Code of Ethics applies to everyone, no one is exempt, not Directors, not [REDACTED], not even O5s, everyone will be held accountable to this document.
Section II - General
All personnel are to report any and all unethical behavior they witness to a member of the Ethics Committee. This behavior includes, but is not limited to, harassment of any kind, discrimination of any kind, misuse of resources, misuse of equipment, and any unauthorized actions regarding any SCP.
All persons are expected to work and act with an air of professionalism and maturity.
Section III - Tests and researching personnel.
Loss of Class-D lives without good reason is considered unethical.
All tests must be approved by the Ethics Committee to ensure no misuse of resources. If there are no members of the Ethics Committee on, tests must be approved by the Security guarding the test, and the highest ranked member of the Scientific Department on the server.
Scientists are responsible for the safety of all personnel during their tests, unethical actions include, but are not limited to, loss of Class-D life, seemingly without reason, termination of Class-D by Security personnel without reason, inadequate instruction of Class-D personnel, and a preventable breach
O5-5 note: This means you cannot test, “just because,” “to see what happens,” is not a good enough reason, and you will be punished if you do a test with that reason.
Section IV - Security forces.
Security forces play a role in keeping tests ethical and safe, if a scientist is doing something that seems unethical or unsafe, you may shut the test down. If there are no Security personnel are available Scientists may not to perform any test. Furthermore, one of the security personnel must be a member of the Security Department, as they are the only ones able to brief Class-D.
The CDC is the Class-D’s home, you are to refrain from killing Class-D in the CDC unless it is necessary, meaning they pose a risk to others, i.e. they are shooting people, or have crossed the line and refuse to go back.
Security personnel are not above the Code of Ethics, as such, they may be punished for breaking it, just like any researcher.
