OUTLINE Section I: Formations Section II: Commands Section III: Guarding Section IV: Patrolling _____________________________________________________________________ Section I: Formations The City Watch will be utilizing its formations, whether it be guarding or battling, in almost every one of our activities. Because of this, expect to hear them often. There are two categories of formations in this group: [Parade Formations] Meant to be used during a formal event such as ######### ceremonies, etc. This specific category doesn’t necessarily stress the effectiveness, but rather to appear more professional. Do NOT use these formations for combat purposes. Box - a tight formation which creates some sort of shielding around the intended VIP, which is formed by surrounding the designated objective, facing in a single direction. Tight Wedge - the subordinates would form behind their commanding officer’s either side, diagonal to him/her. For example, the right arm of the person ahead of you should be in front of your left arm (Front man’s left arm should be aligned with your right arm if you’re on the other side.) This action would follow until there is a well-balanced “V” behind the officer. [Patrol Formations] These are to be used for battles, guarding, and patrolling. This category will offer more flexible and “combat effective” formations to follow. Skirmish - everyone lines up shoulder-to-shoulder and will proceed to spread out four studs apart (approx. one single Robloxian) from each other. Decreases the chance of teamkilling. Elliptical - forms a spread out circle around the objective in order to protect it. Semi-Elliptical - used when the objective is against a barrier of some sort, the CW would form around the target and cut off the formation at a wall, forming a half-circle. Column - this is useful in terms of mobility as a whole group. The commanding officer can specify the amount of columns that may be formed on him/her, and the subordinates should be able to march around whilst keeping the formation. (Note: These formations may be expanded on during the later stages of development) _____________________________________________________________________ Section II: Commands This section will go through some of the basic commands you may see from officers of the City Watch. Commands should be and will be used on a regular basis and all Guard+ are expected to be familiar with them. These commands will consist of formation, to weapon commands. Commands: “Shoulder-to-Shoulder! (STS)” Everyone lines up next to each other, one stud apart. “Draw Arms!” Take the standard sword out, unless specified otherwise “Order Arms!” Put away the weapon formerly in use “Lunge!” Quickly double-click to lunge “Swing!” Swing sword once “Open Ranks!” Spread the current formation “Close Ranks!” Tighten the current formation “Form Column!” Everyone forms a single file line behind the commanding officer- unless a different number of columns are specified “March!” Begin moving with the line leader, keeping enough space between others. FACES: “Left face!” Turn 90 Degrees left “Right face!” Turn 90##e#######i#####“########ace!” Turn facing the officer “About face!” Turn 180 degrees “Left incline!” Turn 45 degrees left “Right incline!” Turn 45 degrees right _____________________________________________________________________ Section III: Guarding Guarding will be the main position that a City Watch soldier would be in most cases. City Watch members are to guard all the focal points of the city, including but not limited to the steps of the keep, the main gate to King's Landing, and the Chapel during special events. When guarding, you may be ordered to report to any of these guarding posts by an officer. Otherwise, if not ordered to guard a point of King's Landing, City Watch members are to guard the steps unless told otherwise by an officer. The following below are the key points of King’s Landing that should be looked after. Posts: Post I: The Keep steps This post can be located in the high tier level of King's Landing, in front of the Keep entrance, is will usually be banned by around 1-5. Post II: Main Gate The main gate is located at the high tier level of King's Landing. This gate should be manned by 1-2 members of the City watch, no more than 2. Post III: Entrance Gate The Entrance Gate can be found on the middle tier of King's Landing, this can also be found near the Guest spawn. This post should be manned with 1-2 members of the City Watch. Post IV: Guest Spawn The guest spawn is found at the lowest tier of King’s Landing. This is where many of the new players to the genre may appear. This area should be guarded with around 1-2 guard(s). This post will mainly be used if there is mass random killing occurring in the guest spawn. Post V: Cathedral The Cathedral can be found on the highest tier of King's Landing. This post will mainly be used in special occasions, such as we#########he Cathedral should be manned with a maximum of one guard. #### ### Barracks The barracks are where the City Watch spawns, but also where the prisoners are kept. In some cases, they may escape from their cells and retrieve weapons from the spawn room. In that case, at least one guard should be ready to exterminate the escapees. _____________________________________________________________________ Section IV: Patrolling As the City Watch are essentially the authorities of King’s Landing, a watchful eye must be kept on each of its sectors. Any Sergeant+ may command their inferiors to patrol a certain area in order to enforce the law all throughout the server. Note that patrolling does not count as standing in ### ##### for an extended period of time- that is classified as guarding. Patrolling consists of staying mobile, moving from post to post within King’s Landing. There are no specific protocols for patrolling, as it can be done in alternative ways. It’s recommended that no one patrol alone, however. Written & REMADE by: JonWyven, Overseer of The Seven Kingdoms Approved by: VortexWyven, The Seven Kingdoms
