A car drives by going 90 mph. Describe what you would do in the minutes following. I'd pull out and perform a pretense stop on the car, then after that I'd light up and issue a traffic stop; this stop would most likely result in a citation to the driver. C2: You are writing a citizen a ticket for reckless driving. They comply at first, but then start an argument over whether or not the stop was lawful. Define what YOU would do in this situation, and how you would solve it. I would inform the (wo)man that the ticket can be repealed in court, and that they can file a complaint directly to my supervisor if they do so wish; then, I'd continue with my ticket. C3: You see a fellow trooper tasering a citizen. The citizen is yelling that "I did nothing." Define what you would do to to keep the situation under control, and determine whether the trooper is right or the citizen is right. In this specific situation I'd get witness statements and make my conclusion based off that. I would not get statements from the suspect or officer as they can make biased statements. C4: You are driving along a city street and are about to drive past a traffic stop being administered by an ICSO member. The stop seems to be going normally, and there is no call for backup. What do you do? Judging by the contents of the description, I'd leave the scene and continue my duties as the officer has the situation under control and is in no need of emergency assistance. I would stay in the area however as anything can happen. C5: You are on patrol, and you see numerous lights and commotion in the distance. Once you arrive at the scene, you see that there is a man wounded and medics are inbound. There are three officers present, and they seem to have everything under control. What do you do? Judging by the current situation I'd leave the scene as I am not needed due to the situation being under control and EMS already being dispatched.
