i dont want the generic "because we want to use swords" explanation or whatever
swords are incredibly broken, in any group even or even going to auto duels both OA and NA the way swords register hits are so off its rediculous, its 95% of the time a kill with "reach" or when the sword doesnt touch you and you still die
they dont do anything for damage so you arent guarenteed a kill for striking first which makes sword battles just two kids being extremely defensive
and its the point where you need to use glitches at sword places in order to gain an advantage because theres really not a lot of skill in sword fighting, the most amount of skill is timing but you learn that in literally a day
so why are broken outdated weapons that havent received any major refurbishments still popular thanks |

Sword clans build communities easier.
Sword clans focus more on base detail than weaponry status
We aren't trying to show off with fancy tech
Sword clans tend to be more fair than gun clans
Sword clans bring in more funding than gun clans at times
Due to sword clans being so rare as well, it's easier for them to kick off the ground.

Okay, let me actually answer the stupid sword question.
Although, ROBLOX's standard sword is broken, a lot of scripters, myself include, have made swords that function better than the ROBLOX sword. So, where as you've had bad experiences, they were either using a poorly scripted custom, or the ROBLOX standard.

well considering teamkilled is 100% a better developer than anyone thats ever been under your belt evan i am certain that his swords would be the least likely to function poorly yet they still do, and if youd like to argue that my points wrong please show me these magically working 100% swords because right now it looks like youre just ######## #### own ego when the subject matter of this thread related to a type of weaponry that is wide spread not what you think youre or other developers are capable of, considering ive never seen such "perfect swords" |

Teamkilled is a good dev, but his sword didn't change the mesh. Just the scripts.
It also doesn't take into accommodations for certain peoples connection speeds.

mind you that the sword hitbox is just an invisible block that only goes to the tip of the sword so i dont understand why reach is a thing when guns arent broken like that

Guns have the exact same problem as swords do.
But it's more "accuracy" rather than reach.
Let's say you set a guns accuracy to 90% (so 10% it'll miss the center mark).
That doesn't ensure that it'll go hit-hit-hit-hit-hit-hit-hit-hit-hit-miss
No, based on a players luck (take mine for example, it's awful at times), I could miss the center six times in a row before I get a single hit.

i dont know what you mean by setting a guns "accuracy" but if you mean spread then thats different
accuracy is a personal stat based on the number of shots you hit/number of shots fired to get an accuracy percentage
but spread doesnt just magically make shots miss and even with spread depending on how good you are at aiming youre going to hit those vital shots
luck is something not involved as guns as swords, this isnt bias its from the standpoint of someone who has used both and seen the code used in both and guns do not have the same issues present in swords |

I prefer swords because I don't really enjoy playing with guns on this game. If I wanted to use a gun I'd play CSGO or H1Z1 |

We just spend more time on the forums than gun clans do.
I can name maybe 100 sword clans if I went digging.

yeah possibly if guns on ROBLOX used rng but they dont so when you get a hit you get a hit theres really no luck to it
with swords its really 95% luck to get a kill because of how broken they are |

1. people still want to use swords, thats a legit explanation.
2. If that does not suffice people don't want to use guns
3.GLitching is a skill, just because people glitch does not mean they are unskilled
4. There is a skill in sword fighting called countering, which is used to counter glitching and is also a skill
5. There is more skill than timing, there is bocing, form, techniques, terrain fighting etc.
6. reach is beatable, its a combo of speed and lag. If you time their lunge you can charge and kill them before they can use reach.
7.You can be garunteed a kill for striking first, ive done it before.
8. defensive is a legit technique in Sfing, its annoying and boring but a legit technique. |

I've been in both communities
Both are absolutely horrible but I personally prefer swords over guns
I'm not a big fan of change so that's probably why. The gun community (imo) feels more hostile and more serious than what I'm used to.
Oh and it's extremely surprising to see the sword community still alive |
