Trotskyism VS. Stalinism. Two very different communist ideologies. If you prefer a government whereas the proletariats shall have most of the government control, global-changing revolutions, and proletarian internationalism is encouraged, Trotskyism is the way for you. If you believe in Totalitarianism, oppose revolutions, and Socialism in one country government, Stalinism is the way for you.
I myself, am a proud Trotskyist and believer in of whereas mainly, the working class or the proletariat will be in main charge of the government and have a direct democracy type of government where people can vote for their government. Stalinism on the other hand encourages a Totalitarianist society whereas the citizens and people have absolutely no freedom of any sort. Trotskyism opposes this and yes, it does have some form of authoritarian mindset, but it mainly has libertarian values. Leon Trotsky eventually became libertarian after his exile from Russia and I follow Trotsky's ways, having more libertarian values than authoritarian ones.
I have stated my beliefs against Stalinism and encouraging Trotskyism, but now I think it is time to explain what Trotsky may have done that were mistakes to making Communism bad. Nothing. He followed Marxism-Leninism beliefs and made his own ideas out of them. He followed one of the most two influential figures' political and economic ideologies and put them into his "ways" of Marxism-Leninism. Trotsky eventually turned out to be recognized throughout the world as one of the most influential figures of Communism. Stalin kicked him out for his revolutionary and political ideas. The USSR saw him as a threat, when the USSR was truly blind to see that Stalin was the threat to the Russia.
Stalin. What did he do wrong? First, he twisted most of his supporters' minds to believing that he was correct in everything he has done. Stalin also wanted to negotiate with Germany to be allies, which was ABSOLUTELY a big mistake and on Stalin's fault too. Trotsky with a brain, knew that if he lead Russia, he would never have been allies with the Germans then. Stalin on the other hand ignored the people who said that the Germans will invade Russia. When the Germans invaded Russia, Russia was in a big panic, getting ready for everything to fight off the Germans. The Russians were successful, but in this situation it showed how Stalin responded to the German attack indecisively and incoherently. Trotsky on the other hand would have not done nothing for the Germans to just attack. He would have turned the tables around and have Russia attack the Germans at their current place. Last thing Stalin did completely wrong was having bureaucrats, watching over people and carrying Stalin's tasks, especially against Trotsky. This was corrupted and this was how Trotsky was exiled from Russia to Mexico for his beliefs.
Also, just to clarify to those who truly do not know what the 'Dictatorship of the Proletariat' means, it is not a dictatorship of the Proletariat. It is just more of a Democratic rule whereas the Proletariat shall have control, or at least main control of the government and the classless society should not be abstained from voting for their government.
Now, aside from my beliefs, to all people who may oppose my ideas and/or who are Stalinists or have Stalinist beliefs, please remember these are my political views of how government should be mainly run. Remember, I will always respect everyone's beliefs and whether they believe in Trotskyism, Stalinism, Communism in general, or any other form of politics, remember you are always entitled to your opinions but I still encourage you to do more research on Trotskyism if you are biased against it. Thank you for reading, have a good one.
