I bet you're already confused. Anyways, this will be a long post. If you already know the hassle behind this, I recommend you skip to the "tutorial" part. First of all, these are two good posts explaining how to download the versions. Then come back to this tutorial on how to extract them to the right places and how to do it with the latest versions.

-- Extracting
So now that you've read those articles, head on to the site that it links because it'll become hashtags if I put the link in here. With the link you have, you must type in the version hash after the link you grabbed. For example, it would be (setuproblox/version-hash.) Before you start extracting, make a folder named the version you want, and then start downloading. Here's the files.
How to find version hashes -
On google, search up "Versions/version" - site:googlecom
For ROBLOX Studio Versions-
version-num-RobloxStudio.zip - Extract to the version folder
version-num-Redist.zip - Extract to the version folder
version-num-Libraries.zip - Extract to the version folder
version-num-shaders.zip - Extract to the version/shaders folder
version-num-BuiltInPlugins.zip - Extract to the version/BuiltInPlugins folder
version-num-content-sounds.zip - Extract to the version/content/sounds folder
version-num-content-fonts.zip - Extract to the version/content/fontsfolder
version-num-content-music.zip - Extract to the version/content/music folder
version-num-content-textures.zip - Extract to the version/content/textures folder
version-num-content-textures2.zip - Extract to the version/content/textures folder
version-num-content-textures3.zip - Extract to the version/PlatformContent/pc/textures folder
version-num-content-terrain.zip - Extract to the version/PlatformContent/pc/terrainfolder
version-num-content-sky.zip - Extract to the version/content/sky folder
version-num-content-particles.zip - Extract to the version/content/particles folder
Folders required: content, shaders, PlatformContent, BuiltInPlugins, textures, music, textures2, textures3, fonts, particles, sky, etc.
Now, make an XML file called "AppSettings" and drag it into the version folder. Type in the stuff in this raw pastebin link.
pas t e b i n . c o m/raw/tpv5EPYJ (remove spaces)
Save the xml file in notepad, and make sure the encoding is UTF-8 and make sure it saves as all files, and not a .txt file. After you're done, you have a perfect version folder.

If you have any errors, please let me know and I'll try to figure out how to fix it. If you get an XML error, you have to put the -file.filetype extension type. |

I don't see any practical use for this. Say even I run a older version of Roblox there are still update safeguards.
|
|
|
No, it actually won't auto-update, unless you download the launcher. This downloads the RobloxStudioBeta exe file directly, and not the RobloxStudioBetaLauncher. |
|
|
Still, I don't see any practical use for this.
