Good afternoon, Americans. I, Isaacj2222, have decided to run for the United States Senate as a member of the Republican Party.
First of all, what are my qualifications? I have a strong knowledge of our government, I've previously served in the District of Columbia's police department, I have been part of the United States for the required amount of time, and I know the problems with our government and how to fix them.
Our Senate is too inactive; Senators promise to be active, yet once they're sworn in, you just see them offline all of the time. I plan to make our Senate more active by proposing bills that would punish inactive Senators, forcing them to become active or resign, and have new Senators replace them.
Another problem that I plan on tackling is the lack of defense for our high-ranking government officials. Several times during my time as an officer have I noticed someone breach the White House lawn or attempt to murder a White House official; I've even seen the assassination of a cabinet member. I will propose bills that will raise the fence around the White House, construct a more secure way out of the White House and through the federal district for the President and his/her staff, and add various other improvements to their security.
As Senator, I will make sure to confirm the best men and women nominated by the President for positions in his Cabinet and the federal courts, and I will make sure to prevent those that are not able to responsibly carry out the powers of their nominated office from being confirmed. I will also vote on impeachment on whether I truly believe the impeached person is guilty, not because of their political party.
