Don't worry, it's not as frightening as it sounds :) ...honest! (You get to pull the lever too) https://www.roblox.com/games/402008431/Guillotine-Test This is just a little fun project I've had for awhile: What if I could make a guillotine that, unlike 99% of all the models out there... is closely accurate to the 1790 model and actually works?

Thanks! By the way, if you join and I'm not there, here are some simple instructions: First, click the board (with the seat) to level it and push it forward. Click the little gold, bulbous handle on the lunette to open/close it (you have to have the board in first) Then, to release the blade (once the above is done), click the greyish handle-looking trigger to set it off. The current features of it are: - Head separates with hats (It only recognises accessories, which is the current system) and (almost) always lands in the bucket at blade impact - You can pick up said heads and show them to the public around you like a true revolutionary executioner The disadvantages (to be added/fixed) are: - Getting on it isn't really done well and looks ugly (will make it so you can only mount it when the board is vertical, and have a respective animation for it) - I don't know how to sort out the hats so only hair and face accessories will stay - meaning wearing ties or huge hats (painting frames or wings) will result in a weird head + hat combo once you die. Nonetheless, tell me what you think of it so far!

Simple, elegant and has nice sounds. It looks like a lot of dedication went into it.

UPDATE: I'm working on making a system where a person attaches to the board by walking into it. So far its working nicely, but I'm having difficulties working out how and when to debounce it - so currently you can only mount the board once and that's it. Earlier, weirdly, I was having some difficulty where if you died whilst on the board and the Touched event kept repeatedly firing over the player's body parts, it would *somehow* displace a brick that's anchored and mess up the entire board.

Alright, now you can reset it with a button. Can anyone confirm whether or not the guillotine looks different from the spectator's view and the subject's view? When I've been testing it, it appears that from the subject's view, all the animations and parts look to work just fine, but from the spectator's view, it looks off, or seems really choppy as though it had a low number of FPS. Can anyone confirm whether this is true/false?

Alright, so it seems that from the subject's POV, everything runs smoothly. However from the server and other player's POV, everything is quite choppy and laggy. I'm going to have to figure out how to make the server do the work, not the client - I'll try making it FE compatible with RemoteEvents and see if that works.
