It would be a good idea for Roblox to be a game that Wifi is not needed.
I Roman say that roblox would be better if you didnt need wifi to play roblox.
For example: To be able to play roblox while on a camping trip, Or on a plane, or somewhere that you might of not had wifi.
I go on a lot of planes and sometimes i want to play roblox when i am done editting my vlogs; and in some planes there is no wifi and when there is no wifi instead of being able to have fun on my laptop I fall asleep.

Studio can barely even work without wifi, due to so many services from Roblox.com having to connect to the server.
So it's not possible, unless you made ways to completely modify scripting so as to ensure that the scripts of a game apply locally to a client without having to touch the online embedded server. |

^ Again, game would have to be scripted differently to be downloaded.
Roblox scripts currently work with online access only, and so server scripts search for the server. Same with local (client based) scripts. If there's no server, then certain functions don't work.
General, already inputted systems, such as game.workspace will work, though... so possibly if Roblox makes other functions normally reserved to online offline. |

That is not impossible if you could download roblox games. However! That would allow people to steal roblox games. So from Devs Side i am saying BIG NO to this. |

this is literally impossible.
99.999999% of roblox games use assets that are found and accessed from a server, like decals, audio, etc.
to add to this, games use features that REQUIRE servers to run, such as datastores, FE, insertservice, etc. |

^ Plus functions that rub off of the server such as :isingroup() the entire "Players" category, "Server Script Storage", etc. Plus getting accessories from online.
Your character would likely look like a complete noob and no assets would be able to be in game without being downloaded.
Essentially games would have to be downloaded, and then would get copied, and you wouldn't be able to prove it to Roblox... or there'd be too many copies to handle (there already is). |
