I hate safechat. I absolutely hate. I'm over ### but my parents made me younger so I could get safechat. Yesterday I interviewed for Frappé, but I couldn't because I had safechat. God darn. So why don't we just cancel it completely, or put an option to remove safechat in some games? |

Numbers are filtered for under 13 because they can give away their age.
Be lucky you can even chat in the first place. Back when I was a safechat, we had certain things we could say already placed in a bubble GUI on the top left of your screen, with various categories like "Friends" and then you'd click on that to get more than just the word "friend" and so on. No numbers whatsoever. No way to communicate but the silly things already in place for you and the things already placed in for you. I barely chatted except to say:
"Can I..." (one of the categories), "Teh epic duck is coming" and "I challenge you to a fight!"
The only way you could see other users chat is if they used admin to have it show up as a message or a hint on your screen, and later a GUI- based message. |

I've got a script that can change your age... but if your parents put you under 13... it's for a good reason.
Honestly over 13 is no more sheltered than under, it's just under shelters everything not on the list while over censors everything explicit or something similar to that.
They might've upped it a little bit since it first came out in '14... but that's the system I remember then describing before it was released. |

Ask your parents to turn off safechat. If they won't let you, then it just sucks to be you :p

^ You can't turn it off anymore. It's permanent until the account reaches age 16... under 13 accounts can't change their ages, regardless of parent email. I emailed Roblox on it once when this account got stuck under 13. I was forced to use a script on google chrome in the second tab of inspect element on the account page. Somehow, it worked. Now I'm over 13 again...
Again, I'd give this guy the link, but I don't think his parents would aprove.
