''I don't want your belief to influence my life and I want you to respect my lack of faith in your god!'' Five seconds later they'll completely destroy a Religious person who had no intention to convert atheists whatsoever and merely only announced his faith. Just get along with eachother guise. Leave your fedora's and crosses at home and just...chill man.

''not relevant to what i said at all'' It is relevant enough. I'm refering to some atheists. Not all. You are refering that it happens only on the internet. So there are atheists who do this, except on the internet. So that's a portion of people who are atheist. Aka, some atheists. ''triggered christian who hasn't ever ACTUALLY seen an atheist'' I'm not Christian, or Religious. ''reported'' Minimodding isn't allowed either.

I just wanted to say that, although I do have the beliefs of an edgy atheist, I only let it show when a religious person denies science, or uses their beliefs to justify bigotry.

Atheism is different on the internet, people act different here... And honestly I think i may be anti-theism Lots of atheist have been hurt by religion, so they of course despise it. Religion is truly horrible if you think about it

I believe in freedom of faith but also moderation. You are free to believe what you will, but you shouldn't use it over logic and science when it comes to making decisions and drawing conclusions. Faith is a wonderful thing, zealotry isn't.

''Lots of atheist have been hurt by religion, so they of course despise it. Religion is truly horrible if you think about it'' Religion is somewhat of an umbrella term. That dude who worships rocks and sleeps in a tent all day would technically be religious. But he doesn't bother anyone. Perhaps it's more fitting to say that dogma hurts people.

"Perhaps it's more fitting to say that dogma hurts people." Yeah, I would agree with that. Indeed, dogma can also apply to politics and ideology.

''did you just say I shouldn't use logic to make my decisions? I think everyone uses logic once and a while..:/'' Let me post my sentence for a second time so you can read it more properly. You are free to believe what you will, but you shouldn't use it OVER logic and science when it comes to making decisions and drawing conclusions. OVER logic and science. That means don't prioritize religion over logic and science. Use religion when it comes faith and hope if you please. But do not use it to tell others what they can and can't do.

''Religion is the cause of tons of young people's pain. Including mine(i am closeted) Go to /r/atheism go to the "should i tell my parents" tab at the top Read the posts'' As sad as that is, it just seems you're not reading into my argument explaining why it's the dogma behind certain religious views rather than religious beliefs themselves.
