The hat will not go Limited.
I remember back in 2015, when I first found the forums, I spent all day on Roblox trying to get more post count because someone had told me that I'd get a cool hat when I reached 10,000. I didn't actually have an AdBlocker back then, so in total I saw about 4 ads per thread, which is 40,000 ads. I don't know how much revenue that produces but it probably outweighs the cost of a hat that nobody can even sell.

Those are the only arguments against this I could find... It's amazing how after 53 pages of replies people only actually had one argument, and that was that people would trashpost.
