this was probably already brought up, but would it be possible for ROBLOX to make animated ads? Like make them into gifs like other ads on other sites? (for the ppl that do have bc and see ads by ROBLOX players)

Roblox can add that to TOS to not make gifs with excessive flashing, it's possible. So if you were to see an annoying flashing add, report it.

Gifs can create lag. (If there are multiple at the same time)
They can also be inappropriate and would slightly be harder for them to moderate inappropriate gifs.

I don't see what is difficult to report something inappropriate. It would be just as the same as reporting inappropriate clothing, games, models, etc. It wouldn't really be difficult to moderate animated ads, as if it were difficult to moderate everything else people upload on here anyways.

Saying it wouldn't be able to be moderated is a poor reason not to support someone's suggestion. People said that about uploading audios for years, yet we got those with the ability to make them seven minutes long. Moderating a short gif to make sure it's appropriate isn't too far out of the question, since they could just charge robux like they do with audios.
As for people making inappropriate ads, those shouldn't be able to pass moderation. Making sure a gif isn't inappropriate is pretty well as easy as making sure an image isn't inappropriate.
Unless you have a reason why having clean, moderated gifs would have a negative impact on Roblox (performance isn't a reason, since if you can run Roblox you can run a gif or two), don't hold a side against the suggestion.

You can do that with decals too. And meshes. Can have swear words in audios. Can build swear words in your place. Display them on a gui. Should we remove all those features then?

I support that idea, It's really good on my opinion, If you guys see an gif breaking some rules or things. Like a gif showing some swear words, Or anything. You would need to report the gif to roblox, Or maybe the roblox would have to agree with the GIFS. So the gif would need to get accepted before going to the website. It's an great idea working like I said on my opinion. |
