This seems far fetched.....
Durant plays with two all-stars and two time MVP
He can play 1v1 because no one can cheat off of Curry, T h o m p s o n, etc
He can rest on defense because Draymond, or Iggy is guarding LeBron
He can rest during the game because unlike the Cavs when LeBron went to the bench they were minus 17
LeBron is responsible for averaging a triple double, scoring nearly 40, and guarding Durant while never being able to take breather, plus on the offensive side of the ball, they can cheat off of shooters and double LeBron because (Korver, T h o m p s o n, W i l l i a m s, Sm it h Shumpert, F r y e are a combined 19/72 26%)
And if i'm not mistaken this is the same Durant who had to team up with a 73-9 team to defeat LeBron
I would agree he's the best player on the best team, but that doesn't equivalent to being best player in the world. |

KD is a little cupcake. What do you expect if he is on a team with three allstars Curry, Klay, and Draymond. It really isn't that hard when you have four allstars on your team. He will never be as good as LeBron. If KD was still on the Thunder they would be getting smacked just like in 2012! |

Lebron is still the best player in the world, and he is the system that runs everything the Cavs do. Without him, they would need to absolutely retool around Kyrie who I don't believe can be a good facilitator at this stage in his career.
The Warriors game style that runs through Curry's system of deep spacing, screen, and rotations gave KD the opportunity to be the most efficient player ever in a series. KD doesn't have to be the facilitator anymore as he is best utilized as the off-ball scorer. |

KD was fantastic on offense and defense because he wasn't stressed physically throughout the games. Durant had so many wide open dunks (esp in the first 2 games) in the finals, and didn't need to drive into the paint for a layup against the rim protectors. And on defense he was used as help defense at the rim with Draymond and Klay on the perimeter most of the finals.
I'm gonna add that Zaza boxed the Kardashian out of TT in the whole series (aside from game 4). |
