Petition for the Single Transferable Vote Electoral System to be put in Place
This will hereby petition for the usage of the single transferable vote system, instead of the proportional representation system. The entire nation shall be treated as a single constituency. This allows a closer representation of the real UK election system, as well as allowing independent candidates and giving the seats to the MP, not the party. The House of Commons is all about the representative, and not the party, to represent the people.
I believe that the parties have been in power for too long over the representatives of the people. They have complete control over them and are able to essentially do whatever they want with them. This is not the way. By signing this petition, you are signing for the representatives of the people to be supreme, as they should be anyway. You are signing for the people. |
