I type a lot and over explain things, so if you don't want read everything just read until the dash in each point as the rest is an explanation of the suggestion. Feel free to add to the list or criticize suggestions.
1) Add a true/total delete button in Develop-
In Develop there should be a true delete option for places, games, clothing, models, etc.. Doing so would allow developers to remove clutter and make things easier to find in the Develop tab by getting rid of things which are broken, have never/almost never been sold or visited, and unwanted for any other reason. There is an understandable possible reason for the lack of this feature as one who hacks a player's account could delete things which the actual account owner doesn't wish to be deleted or on accidentally deleting something. Both of these have possible fixes, in the case of the hacking have a message to be sent to the email linked to the account. This could function by having a code be sent to the email, which would be required to fully delete the item on the ROBLOX website. In the second case just give a popup asking if you want to fully delete the thing and create a 10 day wait period between the deletion and the true deletion.(If added a group deletion should also be added so as it is not necessary to send 100 emails to delete unwanted models)
2) Allow the deletion of versions of a place-
In Develop, if a full deletion feature is not added, at the very least it should be possible to delete versions completely or change base features. By this I mean that when in the Version History tab of a Configure Place page, for example, it should be possible to delete versions to reset the place to a previous version, instead of reverting which just adds another version that is indistinguishable from the others. By base features I mean that it should be possible to change the image on a T-shirt if for instance if the shirt's image has been removed.
3) Allow the changing of base features of items-
In Develop, one should be able to change in the Configure menu, the base features of a item, for instance the image on a T-shirt. The main reason I can think of is to let developers change the image if the image has been deleted for any reason and thus shows no actual image. This could be remedied by allowing things to be deleted, but allowing the change of base features and then the name being changed accordingly could also work.
4) A refund system for bought items-
A refund system should be implemented, however, the refund should be half the price of the items and so the creator does not loose all the profit they made on the item. The exception to this should be items sold by the ROBLOX account should be refunded at full price as it is automated and thus has no true need for Robux. If possible it there should also be some way to refund items that were bought with tickets or items that are currently offsale.
5) Add a group deletion option for inventory items-
Allow users to delete several items at once from their inventory, instead of just one at a time. This comes mostly from my experience of having to delete several pages of models one by one that I bought soon after I made an account for no real reason, but this can extend beyond that to just making inventory management easier for users. Currently deleting several things from the inventory requires users to go to each individual catalog page for every item, which is very lengthy and tedious. The only exception to this I can think of would be for items which cost Robux(assuming a refund system is added), these should have to be removed one by one to get the refund for the item.
6) Make it easier for NBCs to make Robux-
Make a way for NBCs to make Robux without having to buy them with actual money, because ss far as I can tell there is no reliable way for NBCs to make Robux any more. This in turn limits the customization of the character creating hordes of people who look the same. Without a source of income new NBCs are limited to a few free items (ignoring T-shirts and the occasional promotional item, there are only 55 free Catalog items for NBCs to buy: 15 Accessories, 3 Heads, 4 Faces, 5 Packages, 10 Shirts, and 18 Pants) to customize with. This could be fixed by reinstating another currency like Tickets, making a place revenue system which doesn't require one game to be on the main Games tab for it to make revenue(10 visits=1 Robux or something), login bonus(every 10 logins=1 Robux), or bringing back NBC sales(also helps the limited free item issue I spoke about).
7) Allow NBC sales-
NBC sales should be reimplemented for clothing and collectables. NBC sales was a good way for NBCs to get revenue in ROBLOX in the past and as stated in the last suggestion a possible fix for the lack of currency NBC's have, and thus help increase the amount of avatar diversity than is currently present. An issue that could arise would be alternate accounts used to farm currency, nut this could be fixed by reducing the number of users on a specific IP or the number of logins on each IP for a set amount of time. In the case of collectables, this should be brought back to allow the trade of collectables to be more prevalent and to once again allow NBCs more ways of having revenue. In both cases, however there should be a price cap to prevent an abundance of items costing billions of Robux which will never be bought or sold and just take up space(this should also apply for BC, TBC, and OBC players).
8) Allow more freedom for users to customize and power their imaginations-
ROBLOX need to embody its slogan "Powering Imagination" more than it does now. This goes back something I talked about in point 4, but the slogan has two parts in it, at least in my mind, the first being the obvious, creating any kind of place or game you want, but the second being the customization of the player. In all honesty ROBLOX seems to have backtracked on this aspect of then platform if you look at its history. Originally the only things that could be customized was the color of the player's body, a hat, and a T-shirt. Later on, around the time I started playing, there was plenty of other things to customize yourself with and there was a free-easy way to get the currency to buy these items, Tickets, along side the greater yielding but more expensive Robux. Nowadays go onto almost any game and you find, generally, half of the players on the server look mostly the same. In essence ROBLOX started with everyone looking mostly the same, then later changed to give users more identity and individuality, and now limits the capabilities of new users to have the same identity and individuality of older users. It might just be me but that doesn't sound like "Powering Imagination."
9) Bring back Tickets-
I am not going to dwell on this one much, but it could help remedy some points I have made as well as ones I don't make.
10) Block friend requests in games from people with the max amount of friends-
Having someone request to be friends only for them to already have the max is rather annoying. Also this can help prevent the scam accounts asking people to be their friends for fake benefits. |
